Guy's, I'm scheduled for surgery this Friday the 6th and looking for tips to help in the recovery process. What did most of you do in the first 2-3 days after surgery to stay comfortable? How long before you could drive? Suggestions on comfortable underwear? Ice Ice and more Ice.....
My surgery will be done infrapubic, doctor said he would activate in 7days after surgery, seems very aggressive, but from what I've read, the earlier the activation seems to help with scar tissue and recovering size. Thanks for all your post as I've read many and helped make my decision to go forward. Thanks in advance for your responses, this forum is the best resource I've found for men to discuss with others to have an idea what to expect. I know everyone is different it all tips are appreciated.

I stayed in hospital a couple of days, my gf took me home. I couldn't drive a car for quite a while.

Who is your surgeon?

I was implanted infrapubicly as well. I was discharged from the hospital the next day and drove myself home. The first few days used ice and pain pills. (Norcos) Stock up on food and drinks before surgery. You probably will want to lay low for a few days. Who is your surgeon?

7 days seems a bit early! I was activated and began cycling at 3 weeks. Because I pumped (VED) for 3 years there was absolutely no pain 8-) I could pump to the max and I'm still getting longer and thicker. ;) ;) and sex is incredible!
Keep us informed. 8-)

I stayed in the hospital overnight both for pain management and IV antibiotics. That was a Wednesday. At noon the next day I was discharged and drove over 200 miles in a stick shift pickup truck to get home. I took a few Vicoden the first couple of days, once home. I was allowed to shower on Friday. On the following Wednesday I drove 200 miles each way to get activated. The next day, I drove about 100 miles and then flew to the lower Midwest. All of this was kind of tough but it was doable.

Although I used ice on the crotch to help my pain, I have heard from other men that they had used frozen peas. The bag was more "flexible" for the crotch than a bag of ice cubes, they said. Just a thought.

Thanks for the responses, my doctor is Neil Baum in New Orleans. Have read reviews and everyone seems to be very happy with their results and he has always been very quick to respond to any questions on the same day. He has done over 3500 implants, so if experience counts I should be in good hands.
PS: were any of you instructed to wear your penis up after surgery, pointed towards your waistband? Thanks and keep me in your prayers.

My surgeon said nothing to me about how to wear my dick but he left me with a maddening stiffy! :x 3 weeks later cycling was a breeze! 8-)

I think this can be recommended by the doctor based on size of the guy's penis. Just a guess.
