I have always wanted to watch my surgeries. In brainsurgery I only got to see the clock on the wall. in all 5 thyrplasties I COULD TALK BUT SEE NOTHING.Last I was to get to watch the video screen while he worked but at last minute zonked me out stating he thought I might move. Will be cool to see Kramer's video.Too bad i cannot help, I need suture tying practice!.

Alibaba, You need to sit down , be quiet, pay attention and let Kramer do the driving. You are too much like me, let an expert be in charge for a little while. Give him the instruction before surgery, then sit down (lay down) and shut up. He really don't need our help, he has done this a couple of times already ! Good luck and I am here cheering for you.

No worries about me helping. I would want to watch. If they were light on the midazalam and propofol maybe remember enough to ask questions later. Only part I would want to do is final layer suturing as I truly need practice. I sew up pigs where an old sow has stepped on them and ripped the skin off like I was sewing up a feed bag. Have not done it in a long time but they all lived. cheers.

The risk of watching your own surgery is that while you are under anestetic but still consious you may say something to the doctor that offends him. All your inhibitions are gone and you might say something that you would never say if you were thinking normally. I know from first hand experience.
I did it twice. I asked one doctor what he was going to do with all that money he was making and I told a racially offensive joke to another doctor of dark complexion. Neither one appreciated my humor.

Alibaba,
I am so excited for you but yes you should sleep through this one. There's no telling what an 'uninhibited' alibaba might say!   Great news!

oldgoat, YIKES.
Still looking forward to the video and questions later. I get the impression that Dr. Kramer is proud enough of his work to answer questions.
