Bionic Diabetics

Has anyone ever heard if there is any risk with diabetics, who inject insulin into their stomachs of puncturing the reservoir on a 3-piece implant? I inject twice a day, in different locations and wouldn’t want to deflate that puppy. I haven't talked to a Dr. about this, it's just a thought that came to mind. This might be an application for a Ambicor 2-piece?

From what I understand, there are a number of injection dependent (insulin, Byetta, or other) who also have implants and I've not heard of any problems. Also, I beleive the reservoir is positioned pretty low--as in below the belly button. I don't know about you, but I do my Byetta injections all over my belly, but generally NOT below my belly button. Besides, the abdominal area is not the only place we can do those diabetes injections. Arms, thighs, etc. are all workable--at least as far i understand it. Hopefully, others who actually have first hand knowledge of both reservoirs and diabetes related injections will also reply.

You will not have an issue hitting the reservoir. It is easily detected and avoided.
