10 days post implant (3rd implant)

Well...ten days out and all is pretty good. Pain is very minor to nonexistent most of the time. Pulling the pump down with my balls so swollen has been challenging. This morning I finally tried feeling for the release button. It wasn't too difficult to find (at this point I DO know where to look). Because of the swelling, I didn't spend much time messing with it.

The severe bend to the left, (curses on my first implant surgeon) has started to straighten out. I've done some mild "modeling", as Dr. Perito showed me with my last implant and have great confidence it will end up straight once I start cycling. My last (second) implant had the same "left turn" but it eventually went away with the "modeling". Dr Perito said the tendency for the "left turn while flaccid" cannot be helped but I've dressed "up and to the right" for the past (almost) 3 years and that works fine.

Monday I have my second follow-up with Dr Perito. I'm sure they'll take my staples out and expect he'll cycle me and tell me to start cycling myself. I am ready for the warm baths! I don't expect him to OK sex yet and don't really think I'm quite ready anyway (although I'm QUITE horny!!!!). Last time he gave me the go ahead at 20 days, but I was already 3 days ahead of him.

Anyway, so far, so good. For you guys "on the fence", this really is my third time and I cannot emphasize more: IT IS WORTH IT!!!!! Good luck!

thrilled that you are doing well.....

I think that if you ask any implant patient, we figure on ten years (hopefully more) from the implant.

Once failure happens, it appears that nearly all of us will jump on a plane to get the implant replaced "within weeks" of implant failure.

It is such a great thing to have the implant, I could not imagine life without it !!

Glad you are doing well. There is a lot of that cursing the first implant doctor going around. Keep heading in the right direction.
