Minimum temp implant can handle

I do ice man challenges and weird shit like that. Basically I sit in a tub of ice for long periods of time.

I called coloplast and asked if they had any research regarding device resilience to cold.
They said they had no research in this area, but the rep said that he doesn't think it should be an issue, although he may be wrong.

I'm thinking if I'm in -32F water for 10+ minutes, and since my dick isn't my core temperature, then this could potentially harm the device.
What about when I do this in a frozen lake at -20F?

I dont mind having to give this up, Ill just do longer bouts in above freezing water. Just wondering though.

Funny topic ya?

Most folks here are seeking warmer places to put their implants.

Where do you find water at negative 32?

How cold do you think your penile tissues get during these events and preparations?

I doubt if the inside of your penis will get cold enough to affect the implant. After all, they are stored at room temperatur for long periods of time.

Sorry I guess the ~ doesnt copy right on my phone. ~32. The 20F i meant atmospheric temp while doing lake plunges.

Right. I kind of figured that, but I could not resist teasing you a bit, I should have put a smiley icon in there.

I doubt if the air temperature has any relevance at all unless you spend a VERY long time expised to the air. Air just does not have the heat transfer capacity to be a factor without a long time to act.

The saline solution will not freeae at a temperature hogher than the temperature at which your bood would freeze. They have the same saline concentration,

The plastics of which the implants are made are unlikely to be affected at all an above-frosbite temperatures.

You should be more concerned about how far can your dick and balls shrink before they squeeze your new parts into a wadded mess. :o :D .

If you have an AMS/Boston Scientific implant, they are primarily made of silicone. I know this much about medical silicone tubing:

Able to resist extreme temperature variation: -99°F to 350°F. Silcon® Med-X Platinum Cured Medical Grade Silicone Tubing.

I do not know about the Coloplast material. Being it crinkles like an old plastic tarp years past it's useful life I wonder. Certainly your dick will freeze and need amputated before the implant inside freezes.

If you freeze it and snap your dick off, please let us know. One of us may need to know that. Cheers man and hoping you find a sauna contest to go to afterward.

By the way, frozen foreskin sucks. The first progeny I raised was a Santa Gertrudis bull. He let his dick hang out all the time and his foreskin froze. When it turned black we cut it off.

I never cease to be amazed at what I read here. You circumcised the bull? How did he like it after it healed?

I remember in high school going on a date to the local zoo in New Orleans (I had some pretty low-level dates sometimes), and my date and I were trying to make comments about the weather or whatever as we were looking into an area with zebras and one male had his penis hanging low out of its sheath (which covers the entire penis, not just the head like a human foreskin does). Now that was a time I wished had not happened!
