Im 2 weeks post surgery and still have a good size hematoma in my abdomen. Has anyone else have this. If so what did u do to reduce swelling ? How long before the swelling and hardness went away?

Woody: Use ice, ice, ice to reduce swelling. Internal swelling lasts longer than internal. Take it easy and don't overdo anything. Are you sure what you are feeling in your belly is a hemotoma, or is it the reservior? My titan reservoir is palpable from outside. If you still question it, call your surgeon.

Woody,

During my first surgery, I did have so many bruises on my pubic area, but none on my second one (even if it was done infra publicly). On my recent one, I had no swelling nor bruises. I think it has to do with the combination of the person's genetic tendencies and the the surgeon methodology, and how difficult it was for him to insert and place the reservoir.

As always, consult with you physician if it feels completely out of what was explained to you that can be part of the normal side effects of the surgery.

I had a huge hematoma the size of a softball. I am on blood thinners and doc blamed it on that. However, I ended up in the hospital for a week having to have blood transfusions due to loss of blood from the kidneys. Eventually it shrinks over time..... But if you have problems urinating run to the Doctor.

So far no problems urinating or blood in urine. Seeing Dr Kramer tomorrow.

Saw Dr. Kramer yesterday. He confirmed it was a large hematoma. He said it may take a month for it to go away. That sucks. I'm a very active person and this sitting around is driving me crazy . I have a major vacation scheduled this summer. I better be able to go. I'm not a happy camper !!

Just wait for it to be absorbed by my body and take it easy.

No change in my hematoma. Still across my lower abdomen and in my right scrotum.no way I can even think of pumping in the near future. Starting to think I made a mistake having implant surgery. Have a vacation planned snorkeling this July. Hope I will be able to go. Just resting has gotten old. I'm an active person and watching TV sucks.
