My uneasiness about the implant / personal stuff

Postby Funny9097 » Sun May 07, 2017 2:31 pm

Hi all -

I want to share with you my most recent relationship and ask some questions / get advice (note I am 31 yrs old)

First, currently when flaccid my penis has hard veins and I think I have some Peyronies. I also had a surgery as a small child to correct hypospadias. When erect my penis is straight. It's getting more and more difficult to achieve erections and I feel some aches in my penis afterwards. It feels like when I use it (say in a consistent way in a regular monogamous relationship) my problems with ED are exacerbated. Truly heartbreaking. Anyhow, the relationship has fallen apart and the girl was a great match and a person I really wanted to be happy and healthy with

One thing that happened in this relationship, which lasted from December to a couple of days ago: In February I was able to orgasm from Cowgirl and from Oral sex. However, in the month of April when erect neither of these positions did it for me and I felt like I was on the brink of losing my erection (my private more numb than stimulated and of course instead of it being a mood booster my at the time - devastating - girlfriend hurt / thought it might be attraction level). It's alarming the rate at which I feel like things are getting worse with my ED

NOW, my question or what I at least want to talk briefly about with some caring people. I am very apprehensive that if I get an implant my ability to orgasm will suffer, or that over the coming years it will still dissipate and that I won't be able to one day. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

You don't go from problems to an implant. Insurance will not pay for it. You need to see a urologist and at least try injections. Bimix Trimix and the strongest Quadmix. If none of those work then you might be qualified for an implant. Good luck. I have been through all of the above and finally went bionic in Feb. this year.

Look for the cause before you start treating it. It may very well be low testosterone levels. Get them checked along with E2 (Estrogen) and thyroid values. If that comes out OK, then have an ultrasound to see if there is any medical reason for your ED (like venous leak).

thx guys. I agree about figuring out the underlying problems but am not sure about whether injections, etc. are the way to go or to jump straight to the implant when oral meds become unreliable (which they are)

..I am still concerned about the orgasm side of things. Not sure if people have anything to chime in on that front / side of my question but to talk about with people, such as on this site, would be of great help

Your inability to achieve orgasm will usually happen because of either too high Prolactin, too much estrogen or too little testosterone. If those are out of balance and you fix them, both your orgasm problem and your ED problem may be fixed.

I was losing the ability to have orgasm, to the point that I was getting off maybe once every month or 6 weeks, and then only by hand. I think it must have been mental, though, because since the implant I'm back to a couple a week, which is not bad at my age of 79. Physically, though, implant and orgasm are definitely not related, so that should not be a worry for you.

I cannot recommend the implant strongly enough, BUT as everyone here keeps saying, be sure you find a surgeon who knows exactly what he/she is doing.

Hi Dave,

I am curious about what you mean by mental?

Pre implant when you were getting off only once every month or 6 weeks were you able to achieve an erection / maintain and simply were unable to climax?

In my opinion, ejaculation is a very separate process from the implant.

Ejaculation relies on the seminal vessicles, testes, and prostate and an open urethra and nerve sensation in the penis which starts the ignition sequence.

Erection relies on the corpus spongiosum and cavernosum (implant goes in cavernosum).

For me, after implant, I am slightly numb at the undersurface of my penis, but, I have no trouble with ejaculation -- always have been too fast to come, still too fast, but seems to be improving

Arousal
Erection
Ejaculation
Orgasm

Until I got my implant, I didn't realize how independent these are.
One can be had without the others.
