Spontaneous tumescence without activation of the implant. Possibly due to compression of the cavernosum tissue instead of destruction.
This, of course, depends on a surgeon who will take care when implanting the inflatable tubes.

Great information! I should fill fortunate for my morning woods-like tumescences... They feel really good!!!
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

I wake up most mornings with an engorged head (like normal) but a soft shaft (not like normal). I call this my morning "wood-ette."

Re: Then there's this.
Whenever I'm stimulated, oral, visual or physically, I get an erection. Not suitable for intercourse, but a slight erection. I never got one after my ED got worse. My venous leakage isn't as bad as it once was. I've heard implants may help with this. Anyone else notice this?

I haven't got morning wood in over a year. I guess this is a sign of something. My testosterone level is quite good, up over 600 ng/dl.

I'm 27 and haven't had morning wood in years.....my doppler with caverject injection last week also failed to produce an erection...hence I am going to be pursuing an implant
30 yo based in UK. ED for 9Y & complex med history. Tried pills, injections, dorsal vein ligation before implanted with 20cm Titan on 31-May-18. First implant had floppy glans + bad tubing. On 28-Aug-20 underwent a revision to 20cm Titan + 4cm RTEs
Re: Then there's this.
Is there an implant surgical technique that doctors use to try to preserve some cavernosal function?
60 yrs old. Gradually worsening ED for 10 years. Pills and trimix not working well anymore. Will need an implant in the near future.

Nothing that works. Dude, get an implant. Best thing I ever did to cure my ED permanently.

Donnie.
i think you mis-read robertm's question. The article I linked (and another I found a few months ago) speak directly to his question. The answer is "yes". In this limited scope study.
I don't think many surgeons are attempting to do this on any regular basis.
One paragraph does suggest that an artificial venous sphincter might be able to treat ED from Venous Leakage. I have read absolutely nothing on that concept, however.
