Is sex more "mechanical" with an implant?
Is sex more "mechanical" with an implant?
Now a good "signal" for when you want to fuck is feeling the blood rushing into the dick. Is this removed with an implant? Lets say you lay on the couch with a woman, how do you know when you're horny if your dick is dead? Nowadays I would feel my dick getting hard/warm and then I know it's time to take her pants off. Do I still feel any activity going on internally with the implant?
Re: Is sex more "mechanical" with an So ?
This is an excellent question. Having been implanted December 17, 2016, I have experienced great sex since. One must keep in mind that the only reason a man truly should be getting an implant should be because the thing completely stopped working and no other treatment is helping, at least that is my understanding.
So, to answer the question from my perspective, I would have to say yes to some extent it is more mechanical. Yes, you must pump it up, and, yes you must deflate it. That is mechanical. However, on the other hand, I am enjoying sex more than I did with a limp one and I do still get the horny feeling like I did before, perhaps, even more, knowing that I can make things happen.
No, this is not a natural penis anymore but keep in mind it may be your only choice to enjoy sex with someone you love.
I hope this was of some help.

I want to add to my post. It doesn't have to be completely mechanical either. Your partner can still make you hard, they just need to find the pump. You can say "honey, you are making me hard".
I find the implant, not the end to my natural self in that area, that happened with prostate cancer and radiation 12 years ago. I find it to be the end of the ED and the beginning of getting my sex life back.

My wife and I have adjusted to the 'mechanical'. When I pump it up and put in, my wife isn't thinking about how it got that way. She just loves the fact that I can keep going as long as we want. Try doing that with an 'ordinary' dick.

philly444 - Gotcha. But there is no feeling of blood rushing to the dick at all? If so how do you know if you are horny? Don't feel a "tickle"?
ddbryan1972 - I am not so concerned about what women think but what I am going to be feeling myself. Well, that's the only thing I care about.

That's not completely true. The blood that is cut off is the corpus cavernosum. That is the area that fills with blood to give you the erection. There is still blood flow to the glands (Crown). The implant doesn't stop that. Depending on your issues you may have difficulty however with that. There is blood that flows to the other parts as well. I still get that feeling in my groan when I get horny and I feel it in the end of my dick too.

Dude,
Blood rushes to your dick as always. You just don't worry about it staying in. Since my implant, I get a rise just not hard enough for sex.

"The implant doesn't stop that." It doesn't help it, either. Some men with ED in the erection department (Corpus Cavernosum) still get blood flow to the Corpus Spongiosum (glans and portions of the penile shaft). Some men don't. The implant will not change that.
I used to be able to use my penis as a "meter" to gauge my degree of desire for a woman. But, like the blind, developing more reliance on other senses, a man with ED should be able to develop reliance on other cues his body (or his psyche) provides. In the void of silence left by your dick, you should be able to hear the more subtle signals of your body.
I also HIGHLY recommend paying attention to HER signals. There are untold rewards to a man who is simply attentive. But that is a philosophical editorial, and not what you asked, but prompted by the sentence:

Re: Is sex more "mechanical" with an implant?
"Mechanical"?
Depending on how you were brought up, you (and she) may feel some activities are "mechanical" or not "natural". Some societies decry the use of hands for stimulating your sexual partner, or tongue, some societies accept them as completely natural. Some people fel the use of sexual aids (vibrators, dildos, etc) are "unnatural" or "mechanical". Some people accept mechanical devices that enhance (or restore) the joys of the sexual experience as (take your pick)
bothersome
wierd
unnatural
perverse
perverted
a WONDERFUL addition or enhancement
restoration
A lot of how you feel (not think, but FEEL, emotionally) about the way(s) you (both) enjoy sex depends on how you were raised. You are now adults and are free to grow into your own person and adjust your attitudes, beliefs and practices.
Free yourselves.
