Scheduling Question

I interviewed several doctors and felt comfortable with the doctor I have seen for years.I had an appointment on May 23th and told him I wanted to do this. He call 3 days late and told me to stop by and he gave me the 2 implants (Coloplast and AMS) for me to look at. It has been 2 weeks and I have not heard a word from his office. No surgery date has been set, nothing. It is a very big practice and only urology office in Savannah, believe it or not, so i have been giving them the benefit of the doubt. How long should it take to schedule this procedure. I understand that it has to be scheduled before submitted to insurance. I called the scheduler last Thursday afternoon and asked where we stand and they said they were working on it. Is this a RED FLAG or just the way it works.

At the end of my consultation appointment I was scheduled for a later date on the spot.

That was my experience too. The hospital had to be scheduled. I had to set up a pr-esurgery appt. with my primary care Dr. Etc. it has been a few years so I don't remember just how long it took. It seemed like an eternity but after all of the hoops had been jumped through it wasn't long.
Never regretted it for a moment. Best present I ever gave my wife.
