2 week checkup

I went in for my 2 week post-op check today. The appointment was with my doc's PA. He deflated the implant completely (it was left slightly inflated the last 2 weeks). He did the basic checks, said everything looks terrific, and is having me come back in 2 weeks for removal of stitches and instruction in inflating and deflating the implant. I think I will be cleared to use the implant as soon as I have demonstrated I can reliably inflate it and deflate it without significant pain--which would end up being 4-5 weeks post-op. As the healing has progressed and I have started feeling pretty good, I find my libido is rising quite nicely, and I am sure I will be champing at the bit by the time another 2-3 weeks has passed.

My wife has been extremely supportive throughout this process and is almost as eager as I am to play with our new toy. If we had any remaining inhibitions or bodily modesty, they are certainly gone now!! I encourage anyone with a partner who is thinking about going down this route to be very open with your partner throughout. I think most partners will be positive, supportive, and likely add some needed humor near and there. My wife's enthusiasm for many more years of sexual activity was the final link in my decision. She tells me she has always enjoyed pushing my buttons, anyway <G>. One small thing I really look forward to, is being able to lie quietly, still erect inside her, after I have come. That was never previously possible for me even when I was functioning reasonably well prior to onset of ED--immediately after orgasm, my "grower" would shrink to my rather small flaccid state and retract from within her.

Overall, I think all is going very well and that I have probably healed quicker than most. All bruising is gone, all swelling is gone. I am not experiencing any pain or sensitivity in my penis and really none in the incision. Urination has been totally pain free since about day 7, and the last few days the urinary stream has been back to pre-op diameter and velocity. I walked up and down many levels of stairs in an industrial plant today without pain. The only discomfort I am experiencing at this point is occasional mild testicular pain on the side the pump is on. I'm still fiddling with underwear choices, trying to get the "not too loose, not too tight" fit I am looking for. I have ordered one of the suspensories another person on here spoke highly of. The PA said that some testicular discomfort is par for the course and that it should gradually fade away over the coming weeks.

Unless something interesting or unusual occurs, my next progress update will be following that 4 week checkup.

Great news. As a fellow grower I can relate to the joy of making love, cum and still remain inside her. My implant has been a blessing in so many ways. The joy of returning to a normal sexual relationship wth my wife of 41 years has made me feel young again.
