I'm 12 days away. Since I live alone and will be having no help, just wondering what I should have in the house to get thru the first few days.

Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have to travel far for the surgery? What travel arrangements have you made?

Travel is only 12 miles, I'll be able to drive myself home the day after.

One thing I would makes sure you get on here for support. I am at day 4 but yesterday was tough. Ifor I could have snap my fingers and gone back in time I may have if these guys were not here. Make sure you have the right compression shorts. Bag of peas for ice or go get at less 2 flexible ice pads that will down there. All the over the counter drugs you can think about. Miralax for sure. Oh and plenty of time to watch this dumb ass TV

After my shoulder surgeries (one at a time) I was glad I had made up individual meal packets for a couple weeks worth and had them in my freezer. Just heat and eat. Paper plates would have helped - no washing.

Do you have someone who could drive you home? I know that this is very private stuff, but when I told people that I was going to have "urological surgery," they didn't ask for any further details.

No I don't. I'm spending the night in the hospital. Driving home the next day. I'm just 10 minutes from the hospital.

They are not making you have someone with you?

I took the cab alone next day but if you 10min take a cab because i had alot of pain so i took couples pills maybe u wont be able to drive
