Ouch! Corner of pump is pressing into side of my right testicle....

About 8-9 weeks post-implant (#2) now. It appears that the pump was implanted too high this time. Also, the bottom of the bulb points forward, not down like the first one, and one corner of the pump constantly presses into my right testicle. Quite painful, as you can imagine. The surgeon suggested gently pulling down on the pump several times each day, but this doesn't accomplish anything.

After my earlier implant the pump was at the bottom of my scrotum, and I never had any problems with it. With this new implant however I can hardly deflate, as the deflate button is partially inside my body cavity

Can these pump placement issues be repaired/fixed without having to have a full blown implant replacement? Anyone else had this experience? By the way, the surgeon left the old reservoir in place and placed the new reservoir next to it. I don't know if this has had anything to do with my current pump placement or not.

Timing of the repair is not really critical since the bottom of my penis is presently numb anyway. But hopefully that will improve in a few months.

What is it with these 'surgeons' who are supposed to know what they're doing. They put the pump too high and don't GAD about how the patient is going to access it. My Urologist is tops. My pump is at the bottom of my sack.

wolf - I had that too for first 3-4 months. Lots of warm baths, working scar tissue and coaxing it down. I thought it would never move but it finally did. I was even able to put on a pair of jeans yesterday, first time in 5 months. Best of luck...
