Doctor Irwin Goldstein in San Diego is who i would call. He taught Kramer at Boston College and is considered by many while in Boston as the guru for men's health

Not so cal, but look at Dr. Karpman in Mountain View, 1/2 hr flight for you. I researched them all and chose him, glad I did.

When I was looking for a doctor to fix my problem I checked Health Grades for doctors in the Denver area as it is a short flight out for me and back. There may be more out there that I did not find. I did not contact any of them to see what devices they use or what surgical methods but I found 3 that I was going to contact if needed. The highest volume one I found was Dr. Greenfield with 94% rating for implants. That means he dose more implants than 93% of all other urologist in the country. But he has a patient rating of 3.1 out of 5. So that is low. Dr. Sobel has a 56% rating for implants so he dose do a fair amount and a 3.8 patient rating out of 5. Dr. Higuchi has a 53% rating for implants and a 4.0 patient rating out of 5.

Ask you urologist who they recommend and research that doctor. The ones above were ones I was going to contact and interview before I was able to find one even closer to where I live. Good luck and if you need help with the Health Grades site let me know.

Good luck with your search. I was in your shoes last year at this time in Louisiana. With lots of searching and interviewing 4 Drs I found what I figured was the best for me. Happy and bionic now!

I too recommend Dr Karpman in San Jose. One hour trip if you use Southwest Airlines, they offer $49 flights if you scheduled them.

You can send him an email and he will call you and give you an idea of what he can do.

He is definitely one you can trust.
