Rte post surgery

Postby Zxylpk » Wed Jul 26, 2017 10:44 am

I lost about an inch post surgery. No rte's with my ams cx. I don't see my dr. again till oct, but does anyone know if it's possible to have rte's inserted after the fact? I'm happy to be able to have sex now and it feels good, but not as good as it was when I had that extra inch.

I should also add that I am not able to have an orgasm during sex since my surgery - manual stimulation no problem.

If adding RTEs is possible or desirable, that leads to the suggestion that the original implant was undersized, I think. Is that a suspicion you have?

How inflated were you post-op and how soon and aggressively did you cycle your implant during recovery? These factors seem to bear significantly on ultimate size recovery, which sometimes takes longer than 6 months.

Anorgasmia is not (by reports i have read here) all that uncommon. Orgasms often come back after a time. Be patient and enjoy your wife's orgasms in the meantime. Do you have areas of numbness in your genitals?

Often it is impossible to check for numbness yourself. Have your wife touch a blunt-pointd object on various points on your penis and map where and how intensively you feel it and whether you can detect a sharp point, rounded piont or two vs one point of contact.

Is manual stimulation hitting different areas on you genitals than coitus?

Has/have your sexual positions or movements changed since the implant? The abgle of your erection probably did.

Does it make a difference if it is your wife or yourself doing the stimulation?

I would say with great confidence, that inserting rte's after the fact would entail the same recovery as before. If you go to You Tube, there are several "Penile Implant" videos. If you watch what all is involved with inserting implants and rte's, you'll see what I mean. Trust your doctor. Are you aggressively cycling? As the old saying goes, no pain, no gain. :D

Mathematically, you should have around 5.8 inches. Without asking you to say something you may not be comfortable divulging, is that number at least close to where you are?

Joe, you're right, I was drugged during my initial conversation w the doc - I just called him to be sure: It's 21 cm cx w 1cm rte.
Lost, I really don't know what to suspect at this point. I know it takes time but now that I'm 5 mos post op w no improvement in length or orgasm ability , I'm getting worried. I think i was 60-70% inflated for 2 wks post surgery. I have been cycling daily except I lost about a month due to a non surgery related infection so I've really only been cycling for 4 mos. Good to hear there can still be improvement up to 6 mos. I don't have numbness that I'm aware of, but I'll do some further checking following your instructions. The angle of my erection is certainly different. My erections (when i could still have them) were 2 0:clock, now they're 4 O;clock :( . The stimulation I get from intercourse is now markedly less stimulating along my shaft. I can only orgasm w self stimulation. My wife gives me a nice workout but can't really get me off manually - it takes some pretty aggressive stroking.
Larry, yes I'm aggressively cycling 1 hr each day. I pump till I'm fully inflated and give it several more pumps. I seem to be 5.25" both .flaccid and inflated. I was 5.75 pre op. 5.8 would be nice...
Thanks for all the replies. Maybe just needs more time?

Fact is, even if you feel you have lost 'some' length there are 2 huge positives:

1. You can cycle aggressively as the months roll by to possibly regain a little length and from my experience (6 months out) definitely increase girth. Focus on this.

2. It will be stiffer than its ever been in your life AND it doesn't quit until you decide to deflate.

At 6 months and being used often I (along with many others on here) can vouch for just how amazing an implant is.

4", 5", 6", 7".........they all inflate, they all love warm, snuggly, wet places and they all go up when you say and down when you say........doesn't get any better than that :)
