New Procedural News ?

Yesterday, had a Titan Coloplast replacement. It had a failure wherein removal was a necessity.
So...to begin from the beginning. 2010 Pre RRP [cancer] measurements 6 3/4 inches length and 5 1/2 inch girth. 2013 had my initial IPP procedure, and after one year of healing and rigorous pumping activation; measurements 5 1/2 inches penile length and 5 inch girth.
Now after 3 years and daily regimens of full pumping, the replacement required a measured readjustment of a new added cylinder length of 1 1/8 inch. So call it even at a New 6 1/2 inch penile length. Almost back to original measurement specs. Also to be considered, with the Titan Coloplast, girth will also expand accordingly. Before replacement 5 inches of girth and will wait to see what additional girth gains are to be had. Hopefully also back to original girth specs.
My surgeon Dr. Alan Moray of UTSW Dallas is an internationally recognized urology surgeon and also a specialist in reconstruction. He is publishing a paper wherein he describes the parameters of measured cylinder increases and viabilities. He has treated all of my ED issues and is worth the consideration for your surgical inquires. His staff is wonderfully supportive and tell it like it is with no BS. Hope this is New News.

Hi Liaison!
Congrats for your revision!
Can we know about first failure?
Pump, leak, tubing?

Yes certainly.
I was performing daily ritual of pumping and the pump made an audible noise [like a small tire puncture phisssst] and deflated. Attempts at continued pumping only produced a collapsed bumping bulb [non rebounding]. Post surgery the nurse said it had a "hole" in it. I will ask for clarification where the hole was...pump, plumbing or cylinder. I suspect it was the right cylinder because of pronounced deformity on that side.

I Hope your Next titan last much more time. Do you think daily cycling during 3 years have affected the duration of the implant?

Yes, daily pumping for almost four years certainly could have been an issue. But had been advised that this should be a regimen to follow.

As to girth and the Titan...no, I was never able to get above the 5 inch mark, and I tried.

As to Titan longevity...it is agreed that I should have had a longer product life than that resulted. The fact that the failure was somewhat dramatic [audible blowout], this seems an out of normal experience.

I pumped once a day in the shower, and of course if sex was the inclination, then another pumping was in order.

So are we to read that pumping once a day will shorten the life of the implant?
