Depends on a lot of factors including your genetic make up, any other health conditions you may have, what kind of risky job career you are doing, your personality type, your financial condition, your life expectancy, etc, etc.

Do you mean the same inplant for 13 years? Or do you mean 13 years with more than one implant?

Assuming you are asking what is the chance of having only 1 implant last 13-15 years... unfortunately, judging by all the things I have read on here, I would say that is not likely. Maybe only 2 in that time frame. Sorry, I know that not what you wanted to hear.

Is it just a scam by the docs saying: a implant usually lasts about 10 years?
I mean ok, a lot of men who are happy with their implant might not search for a forum like FF and post their story...
Often this happens when you are unsatisfied or seeking for help.
But most guys here have had their first implant for about 4-5 years...thats kinda odd...
Also its not an argument saying FF exists since 2009. People could share their implantstory they had beofre that time...
Well...

Don't get me wrong, some implants have lasted 10-12 years and their stories are here (some place), but if you read the stories of the revisions, many are 3-5 years.

regarding the question: "how long do implants last ?"
This is fairly well studied in the literature. Here is a graph from a paper regarding AMS cx:
- AMS survival val rate (ji et al).png (36.65 KiB) Viewed 3301 times
Figure 1: Survival curve for the AMS cx. This shows that the implant has an 80% chance of lasting 100 months (8.3 years) and a 65% chance of lasting 18 years

When you consider the complexity of these procedures and the variables that mist be dealt with the results are truly amazing and the longevity is very encouraging. Obviously the amount of wear and tear varies based upon the sexual activities if the men implanted. Thanks for this post.

So it seems as it Is commonly accepted that implants last on average 10-15 years but in this forum there are too many cases that fail in less than 5 years. For me, guys who have an implant for 10 o more years, don't write in the forum to say: "hey guys, my life Is great and I have an implant for 14 or 15 years"
I wonder, in the literature, when it Is said that 10-15 years, it depends on the use of the implant, doesn't it? It Is not the same use it once a week that every day.
