Is a loss of length and glans engorgement assured?

You know, if you can’t have sex and an implant gives you that ability, this really won’t matter at all.

But for those who have had natural erections once upon a time and have graduated to an implant

- have you lost length?
- do you regain length over time?
- does your glan still engorge?

Thank you guys

No lost length. It’s possible to regain size lost but not guaranteed. Yes glans engorges. As long as the surgery is done correctly, whatever engorgement you have pre implant you will have after implant. I highly recommend going with a top surgeon.

I have not lost length, and recently noticed that I have regained girth as well (making my penis the same as before my prostatectomy in 2000, which was followed by a couple of years of nothing, so atrophy happened).

My glans still engorges, but I was told by a doctor speaking at a prostate cancer support group meeting that I was attending that the glans engorgement process is separate from the erection process. (So for us prostatectomy survivors, for example, some of us will regain glans engorgement and some of us will not.)

- have you lost length? 1" post-op
- do you regain length over time? yes, regained my lost length after 7 weeks of 2-times daily cycling.
- does your glan still engorge?
It does, when I'm extremely aroused.

Glans and some parts of the penis OUTSIDE of the Tunica Albuginea are filled with "Corpus Spongiosum". Inside the Tunica Albuginea is filled with "Corpus Cavernosum"

In ED, Cavernosum fails to engorge to inflate the Tunica into rigidity, as it should in a man wiIhout ED. So, the penis is not rigid enough for penetrative sex.

Spongiosum engorgement is not necessary for penetrative sex (but does enhance the experience).

An implant replaces/supplants/assists the function of the Cavernosum tissue. This TREATS ED ("Cures" is an overoptimistic term in my opinion).

An implant has (or should, if the surgery is performed correctly and there are no complications) no effect on the Spongiosum.

Therefore, all you have seen posted so far in this thread is true. This post seemed useful because it explains why the foregoing posts are true.

Length loss is another matter, due mostly to scar tidpssue formation around the partially inflated implant in the time immediately after surgery. The so-called "Coffin Effect". This is why early and aggressive cycling of virgin implants is so important. You don't want restrictice scar tissue encapsulation aripound EITHER the reservoir or the implant.

No lost length for me. Initially there was but with the lgx and aggressive regular cycling i have been able to gain back any loss in the six mos since my implant. glans still engorge as does the shaft with arousal. Cylinders themselves cause the penis to look oval shaped but when aroused it kinda rounds out.

I lost a little but slowly it came back to a more than acceptable size (see signature)
I have cycled fairly consistently for 9 months and it has produced results.....not mind blowing but pretty damned good.
As many others on here have discovered, one of the great aspects to an implant is the ability to attenuate.
One of my sex partners likes it really stiff (after initially finding it too much) but the other one prefers it backed off a little because she is more sensitive.....(she had her children via C section, so her pussy is still like she is 18)......the implant allows the choice of soft, medium or really fucking hard.....pretty fantastic options I reckon......as do the women!!
