I'm not a doctor but pretty sure just coming from the bottle that has saline in it that's why its there to drain all the fluid from surgery they give you lots of fluids during surgery I wouldn't worry your doc will watch it

For my second surgery they put me a drain. The instructions from the doctor was to keep it for 3 days, expecting to still have fluids coming out at the third day. If a drain is in place, always fluids will come out, so the purpose is to get the maximum of of them during the beginning to alleviate inflammation and swelling.

Thanks for the replies, it just freaks me out with all the blood coming out, about 50 to 80 mls a day and it's not slowing down, I'm going tomorrow to have it removed and I don't like the thought of it pulling out, but it might have a bulb to prevent that like a foley catheter.

I did not feel it at all when it was removed.

so relieved, the doctor took it out today, pain is going away, finally feel good with the implant, haven't taken the hard drugs, just used ibuprophen.
Thanks everyone for your responses.
