Got implant. When can I have sex?

I had a three piece inflatable Penile implant installed 4 1/2 weeks ago. The surgery went well, and although I still have a bit of pain in my shaft, I have been able to practice inflating and deflating with little problem. I have also done manual stimulation and can successfully get an orgasm that really feels good. Question- can I try sex with my wife now? My doctor said to wait six weeks, but in doing on-line research I have seen recommendations to wait as few as three weeks, up to the most common six week wait. I feel ready right now, and would be careful in doing it.

Cowboy: Best advice is to follow Doc's recommendation. That said if you are not having pain have successfully inflated/deflated and doen a J session, I would go ahead and try some gentle sex. We did it after about five weeks with no problem. doc had also recommended six weeks. Let us know how it works out

There's no rush - better to follow your doctor's advice.

I like the idea of the gentle, initial endeavor. At just slightly under 5 inches now, I’m not worried about “bottoming out” and causing damage that way. Therefore, I see little difference in going in and out of her vagina vs. using my hand, so why not have vaginal sex?

Brother,
My case wasn't typical. Surgery letter perfect no pre existing circumstances. Infra pubic incision. I was fucking in 28 days.

Bob,
Every time I have had surgery I have listened to my doctor’s and I always seem to have textbook results. Every one of us has different anatomy, had different surgical experiences and heals at different rates. I would believe the doctor know what he is saying and has a reason for saying it. I was really eager also, but waited and that first time after years of ED was intensely amazing. In my case I was given the green light at 5 weeks. Whatever you decide, have fun when it happens.

Thank you, Greg and Donnie! I’m thinking things over. In any case I’ll be careful the first time. One thing that seems interesting. The times recently that I have tested the new system using manual stimulation it has felt really intense, like a feeling of electricity in a good way, and possibly better than ever.

Bob,
Same here. I am 61 and I am enjoying feelings I haven't had since my teens and twenties. I think a lot of men fear loss of feeling and sensations when they have an implant. My experience has been exactly the opposite. Whether enjoying sex with my wife or masturbating, my orgasms are intense, too. Enjoy your "new" bionic toy.
