It is almost six weeks since having my titan implant. I read a lot of guys say that the pump gets softer over time. When I try pumping I can squeeze the pump from left to right, but when I try to do it from front to back it is so hard I can't. Is this normal?
I know that I don't have the OTR because it has a bar going across the front and a bar that goes across the back. I have to press and hold them both in order to deflate. Not sure what the name of the pump is.
When I do pump I can not get the pump to fully compress all the way. It takes me a good twenty minutes or more to get it hard. So far it seems I haven't been able to max it out.
Has anybody had a problem with it it self inflating when you blow your nose, cough, or bend over? After I deflate I give a quick squeeze like it says but by the end of the day it is hard again. The doctor says it may take about 6 months for it to settle and seal.
They say that the Titan is harder when soft, but how hard is it? Does it feel like you have a semi all the time or does it feel more natural over time?

In general, you are still having a lot of healing inside you, so 6 weeks is not reflective of what you will experience with few months. Granted, any concerns must be discussed and addressed with your surgeon.

I believe you have the same pump I do. The Genesis pump. Not to be confused with the Genesis malleable prostheses. The pump has a bar on each side and you press them towards each other continuously to deflate. I think it is the precursor to the OTR and Touch pump. My doctor uses it because he believes it is less likely to fail than the newer versions. Makes sense to me in that the mechanism is simpler and therefore not as many things can go wrong with it. Trust me the pump will definitely get easier to squeeze as time goes on. Make sure you squeeze your penis as you deflate to get the maximum amount of fluid out.

Thanks for the info about the pump. Every time I do a search on line all I see is the OTR. I was kind of worried why I never see the pump that I have or any information about it.
So far I have to say I am so glad I made the decision to have the implant. I didn't have one of the big name doctors that you hear about on FT, but I have no complaints of the job mine has done. I am back to my pre implant surgery in length and girth.

My Dr said they are discontinuing the OTR. One reason was patient complaints about the tiny valve. It is definitely not a One Touch Release
