I recently researched whether to use tub or hot tub for cycling. Not much on hot tubs. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it too harsh/hot/chemically rough?

Actually chlorine or salt water is good for the area providing stitches are gone. :D

Just beware...if the hot tub is not yours and isn’t maintained at a proper chlorination level that’s a big problem. Hot tubs require much higher levels of chlorine than a regular pool. The jets need to be cleaned and the extreme hot water can be a breeding ground for bacteria. This could cause all kinds of problems. I’d pass on a hot tub if it wasn’t mine but that’s just me!

Hot tubs are no problem. I've been in it at least once or twice a week in the two-and-a-half years since I had my implant. The warm water will help work the pump as well.

My Doc forbade me from bathing for 4 weeks. (I know Eid encourages bathing though so who knows)
Assuming chemicals and any foreign bacteria in a poorly maintained hot tub could cause issues.

I wouldn't risk anything damaging me or my implant after all the stress it puts on the body just healing normally.

Just my 2cents

Yeah, and yet look at my luck... 4 weeks in bed with septic shock near the end and didn't do anything to get it infected... Seems to be a crap shoot.. :)
