Today is my 4th day recovering after getting a titan 22cm (left side no RTE, right side 1cm RTE) installed by Dr Eid in New York.

Recovery is going well, and today it was even inflated / deflated twice (once by Dr Eid & once by myself).

Below a summary of the first 4 days, any questions - feel free to ask.

Day -1 Preop

- Arrived in NY from a 20+ hr international flight
- Saw Dr Eid for my pre-op consult (Doppler etc)
- Organised medicines & food supplies for next few days in bed in hotel

Day 0 - Op

- Arrived at medical facility at 6:30am
- Operation started about 7:30am under General Anaesthetic
- Was finished and discharged about 10:30am (medical escort helped me back to hotel)
- Spend the rest of day in bed - applying ice packs / frozen peas etc continually
- Catheter was left in & could be removed on the 3rd day (not including today)
- Got up very occasionally to get food from the kitchen and empty catheter
- As the surgery meds wore off, pain started to increase
- I took the strong medicine prescribed every 4-6 hrs, but it was extremely painful through the night & I was wondering what have I done

Day 1

- Messaged Dr Eid at 6am after a rough night of pain and minimal sleep
- He replied in 30mins & told me I can double the dose of the pain med & repeat every 3 hours. This made a huge difference - reducing pain greatly
- Spent all day in bed - applying ice packs etc continually
- Got up very occasionally to get food from the kitchen and empty catheter

Day 2

- Reduced strong pain meds and rotated in milder pain meds. Added a stronger one if felt pain
- Spent all day in bed - applying ice packs etc continually
- Got up very occasionally to get food from the kitchen and empty catheter

Day 3

- Woke up early at 6:30am and yay ! could remove catheter
- Removed it which felt a bit nasty, and I had a very small kinda sticky fulid come out a few times that day. After this it stopped completely (relief !)
- Removed the jock strap and all the bandage let on since after the surgery
- Had my first bath, which was very nice. Had a second one later that day, but when drying i thought it looked like the glue was peeling off, so I was concerned about having any more.
- Used heatpacks a few times instead
- Noticed a painful lump top off base of penis, which feels like the tubing going to the reservoir. Also the pump is quite far back behind the balls, and the skjn where it rubbed was tender and itchy
- Generally feeling a bit better and ordered some food delivery for the first time
- Pain meds are mainly the medium strength one with the occasional strong ones

Day 4

- Woke up, showered and went to see Dr Eid at 11am
- He said the lump was due to the tubing as I suspected and that the pain and swelling would reduce
- He was happy with the pump placement etc & grabbed it and pumped it up. It was quite painful. He made me deflate it, and then made my pump it a bit & he deflated. Was not expected and quite painful
- Walked and grabbed some food supplies close to hotel & fill another script
- Spend rest of day lazing in bed in hotel and having 2 baths (no heat packs or ice packs)
- 1 hr before my 2nd bath, I took a strong pain med & then tried to pump it up in the bath (as recommended by Dr Eid)
- SUCCESS ! was a bit painful squeezing the skin of the scrotum, but managed to pump it up myself to about 10 pumps, left it about 10mins and deflated

Feeling quite ok now, and am very happy with the progress in 4 days, as I am flying back home (20+ hrs) tomorrow

I have read many good reviews on Dr Eid, and I must say my experience has been the same. He is very skilled and knows what he is doing, He is also very responsive and cares about his patients - even giving his private cell number

Yeah I'm quite surprised how quickly things are healing. I just followed Dr Eid's instructions to the letter, and made sure I rested in bed and iced continually

Dick looks wonderful! Jeez if that's your implant I can only imagine the size of your original boners you had 20 years ago!

It's fascinating to me the difference in instructions surgeons give and the way recovery feels.
I never had severe pain. My first night after implant I slept a solid 6 hours with no pain.
The catheter pain lol now THAT I will never forget.
Glad the nurse pulled it out next day for me.
See even my catheter time was different than yours.
I never took a single tab of the oxy I was given. Did tylenol 650mg the whole time.

I was instructed not to inflate until my 2 week apointment (I inflated on day 5 because I got impatient)
Pumped great with no real pain in scrotum. Doc was happy with my pumping skill at my 2 week checkup.
I was instructed not to take a bath for 4 weeks! Crazy you Eid guys can do it almost immediately.

I was instructed to pull down and out on my pump starting day one. So it would position low and in front of my testicles.

One thing I will say is that some days will be good and some will feel like a setback.
Pain gone one day and back the next. Overall you'll keep making progress but don't get lazy.
Make sure to always wear clean underwear and also let the incision breathe.
Keeping that from getting infected is super important.

Don't forget to avoid lifting anything over 15lbs too

I'm on day 21 or 22 now and am loving my healing.

You're having an extremely quick recovery even for an Eid patient.

Good luck on your trip back to the city we now both call home.
Funny how we follow in our footsteps.
I was the patient right after you in Austria for the Sclerotherapy.
Now you do your implant with the same doc I had and have your bath in the same frigging bath tub as I had a couple of years ago...

Hope your results will be as great as mine. And I am sure they will.

He will remember the Scandinavian guy who got stuck in NY over X-mas and New Year 2015.

Thanks for the comments, encouragment and advice. Glad to hear you are also recovering very well. Great advice about not getting lazy and keeping everything clean - that is one thing I am concentrating on too, as would hate to get an infection !

Yeah it really is quite surprising how different Dr’s have very different instructions. Even Dr Eid’s info pack mentions cycling after the 2 week follow up. But when I spoke with him, he said if possible he prefers his patients to inflate as soon as possible (3rd day onwards), to minimise scar formation & therefore any negative impact on length.

I think to cycle early you need a very experienced surgeon, to make sure you have minimal swelling etc

Interesting he wants you to pull your pump in front of the testicles ? Dr Eid placed mine behind my testicles which means you can’t see it from the front and is quite accessible to pump / deflate. I wondered if it will be uncomfortable there at all, as it is quite far back, but it’s too early days yet & I need to see how it is after healing.

Thanks for the reply and encouragement. Also really appreciate the advice you gave my via PM when I was deciding on getting the implant done.

That bath is heaven sent, especially with the cold NY weather currently. Gunna miss that when I fly back tonight.

Yeah is crazy how we’ve been on the same journey - Live in same Asian city (expats), see same GP Dr, had schelotherapy on the same day in Vienna, both had implant with Dr Eid and yet have never met. I've also being encouraged by reading your experience and to see how things turned out so well for you over time.

I got to say that Dr Eid really has been amazing, he is very professional, experienced and caring. I have no doubts it’s his skills that are helping me recover so quickly. I gave him your best & he smiled and said he's glad you're doing well

Fantastic report and pic and very little brushing . I didn't start cycling until 2 weeks out. Keep up the great progress !

Day 5 - update

- Had a good sleep last night, woke up this morning to some pain (around pump and base of penis) - so took some pain meds
- Lazed in room and slowly packed, very excited to be going home today !
- Took a stronger pain med and had a bath around 2pm, pumped up to about 25 half to full pumps, little to no pain in the shaft, but scrotum still a bit sore for squeezing. Was easier to inflate than yesterday
- Left inflated for about 15 mins, and deflated.
- Glands stil have not engorged, however is a bit early for my to try and stimulate them to see if they do/can (they used to before the implant), Will probably try in a few days
- Peeing feels a bit strange still, don’t have the same push I used to be able to do and so comes out slower. May also be due to the lump above base of penis (due to tubing), as that hurts when I go to pee. Hopefully will reduce in a few days
- Heading off to airport in an hour and then 20+ hrs flight back home

Looks great.......we all heal differently and it looks like you're on the express route......I have nothing but praise for Dr. Eid.....if I had a 2nd dick I would not hesitate to have Dr. Eid do that one also......
