RP, then implant

Postby FreddyFree » Fri Mar 02, 2018 8:32 pm

I have heard of many members getting a radical prostatectomy (RP), then needing an implant.

Does anyone know if having an implant will create complications if an RP needs to be performed after.

I asked the same question of Eid, Kramer and my prostate surgeon, and to the best of my recollection they all said it would not be a problem. Another urologist told me that some guys have had both done at the same time.

the prostate and the implant are really in different places...can't see why it would be a problem...... "I am not a doctor, I just play Doctor with women".....

I have read posts where some men having RP, have lost major length and feeling. So I just wondering.

And playing with women, you know that prostates are really in different places....

regarding prostatectomy AFTER an implant:
I asked my surgeon about this. He said that it is completely fine as long as the prostatectomy surgeon knows that he needs to avoid damaging the reservoir of the implant. A good surgeon will be able to do this,
so "yes, RP after implant is totally OK"
"Strive to find the best surgeon--experience really matters"
(63 yo, Titan 22cm implant Feb 2017 by Dr Eid) I'm super pleased with my length/girth/implant performance. See my story at "The road to becoming a bionic male: Answers ..."
