I'm in my 40s and was informed that I'm eligible for Medicare (strange but true). Presently I got Medicaid bundled with Fidelis and live in NYC. Can Medicare pay for an implant? If so which Medicare plan does pay for it, A or B?

You just have to locate a doctor that accepts it. :)

down here we have self pay, private insurance 2 government programs. Most people that have Medicare also have private supplemental insurance

Dr accepting Medicare ( federal) is not hard. Medicaid( state) on the other hand is hard.

Here my case. The Dr billed 70k. private pay who knows what bill would have been. Private insurance would have been some amount less depending on agreement. Medicare said you can only charge 13k they payed 80% of that Me or secondary insurance (if they cover) which in my case found out afterthe fact they did not the balance of 2900 is what due to dr. Medicaid would gave paid even less

OK then... :) I am so glad I live in Ontario, Canada. I have no idea how much it cost and I don't care. I had supplemental insurance that bumped me up from semi-private room to private... other than that, provincial insurance paid for everything else. Our doctors here don't get paid anywhere near what they make in the US, that's why about a decade ago several family doctors moved to the US leaving SEVERAL patients without a family doctor. Our municipality decided to pay for the education of 10 new family doctors in exchange for a minimum of 10 years in practice here in Belleville. It worked like a charm. :)

In my area CA. the going rate that some advertise is 20k. If medicare only allows $13,000.00, I see why in demand Drs do not take medicare.
