Concern over the Size of the Flaccid Package

I have a couple of questions that I hope some of you can weigh in on.

I stumbled onto this site about a month ago and recently joined. I have found the candid comments useful.

As for me, I am leaning heavily towards an implant. Shots worked pretty well for a while but now I have developed peyronnie’s and have a downward slope. The physician I met with last week told me the Titan would be the best option. He has done thousands of these (Dr. Goldstein in San Diego).

Now back to my questions. As I read through the message board, I have become somewhat alarmed that there seems to be a common theme among many individuals with a Titan implant that relates to the appearance of a “large package” when flaccid. For me, this could be especially problematic. I teach training classes and work in an environment where having a consistent and noticeable bulge would be detrimental to my employment.

For those of you that had the Titan installed, how long was it before you could appear normal? And, are there any recommendations that helps to disguise this?

Second, I am wondering if anyone was instructed by their physician to position their penis upward in their undergarment, so that it is literally pointed towards one’s chin. If anyone had experience with this, please let me know. It sounds uncomfortable.

The physician told me that would be in his instructions, probably due to the existence of a downward slope.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Even before my implant I regularly wore my penis pointed up. Of course, this was largely due to the flaccid state being short enough that hanging down would have rested my penis full length on my balls and the tip would be pointing straight out at three o'clock.

As it is now, pointing up results in a bit of a bulge (note that I have an AMS), but I want to maintain an upward pointing erection angle. I read that keeping the penis pointed up when flaccid as well as when cycling helps with that upward angle that I (and my partner enjoyed so much in my youth).

Jock strap or compression shorts will help reduce the bulge. Also, making all efforts to fully deflate when you are in a flaccid state. If you are long enough to reach your beltline, let the penis veer off to one side or the other. If it is still too long, congratulations. ;}

If you get grief at your employment, I wish you luck on your discrimination lawsuit (lol) ;}

Seriously, though, an athletic supporter (jock strap) does help a lot in managing the bulge. The elastic material my underwear is made of (e.g. Jockey microfiber and others of the same material) does a pretty good job of keeping my penis up against my belly. Wearing pants tailored to disguise the bulge should help, too.

Good luck

It depends.
If I need to not have a bulge I really squeeze down hard during deflate until I am fairly unattractively flat. I surf, and do this so I can lay comfortably on my board.
At all other times I am partially inflated because it looks and feels better.
Keep in mind that regardless of it being AMS or Coloplast it is always long.......there is never ever a situation where my dick is short.
Now we’ll over 6” deflated and a little over 7” erect and because it is a Titan it’s pretty thick after more than 12 months of cycling.
The pump acts like a third testicle and effectively pushes the other two up slightly..... and forward, this makes the penis sit proudly out front resting happily on the scrotum.
I am certain you will adjust .........all of us on here have adapted to life with an amazing cock. A few clothing adjustments and active deflating for work should do the trick ;)

Good morning everyone;
My surgeon has been published over 25 times in the major medical journals. He did publish one about size that I was able to access and post. I have several of them but this website will not accept the file extension (.pdf). I found this one because Dr. Brock posted the exact website address for his students to follow. I hope you find this helpful. :)

FOLLOW-UP
I sent Dr. Brock a message and received an answer in less than 20 minutes... see below; (of course the question from me is on the bottom and the answer is directly below this)

Good to hear from you.
Obviously, use of a needle is absolutely contraindicated as that would damage the cylinders.
The use of a VCD is not a concern as the negative pressure developed using it poses no real risk to the device and can pull blood into the glans and help stretch the penis acting in concert with the cylinders "pushing" from the inside.
I would use the VCD as you are comfortable in a reasonable fashion for 30-60 minutes daily. I believe the pumping of the device daily is more important however, as it will stretch the tunica albuginea from the inside.
I hope that helps.

Good morning Dr. Brock. I was just reading some of the documents that you either published or co-published. In “Strategies for maintaining penile size following penile implant” I noticed a sentence that contradicts what you have discussed with me as an option to possibly achieve greater length. “The use of intracavernosal injections and vacuum erection devices are generally not used after PPI surgery as there is an inherent risk of prosthetic cylinder damage”.

I have been using my VED while cycling. I cycle for a minimum of 30 minutes, twice a day and while inflated to the maximum I am able to achieve, I used the vacuum two or 3 times, leaving it pumped for 5 minutes each time. I am cautious to leave it longer because twice now I have given myself a haematoma from leaving the VED on too long.

So, I guess what I am looking for is clarification from you on what you think I should specifically be doing and for how long.

Have a great day.

Larry

My dr wanted me to keep it pointed up at first. I found it hard to keep in that postion wo3th the underwear I had. Now it hangs down and I move it to the left. Granted I am commando. What I found with normal breifs is the head would be below the leg opening.

The titan does soften some over time. If you can wear loose fitting jeans or pants it easier to hide

I worked at Disney for all of my pre cycling stiffie stage. I just wore loose fitting pants and a larger shirt. Kinda hard (pun intended) to hide a 6" stiffie. Now that my deflated version is 6", I go commando with jeans and wear Banggood pouch briefs when necessary. They keep my dick comfortably hanging down.

I sent a private message. Dr Boyd, USC Keck medicine, in LA offers both types.
