How long until you "settled" on an implant?
The reason I put settle in quotes is because it seems like you gents are quite pleased with the results of implantation. How many other treatment options did you guys try until you decided the implant was the way to go? How long was this process for you? Thanks as always for the insight guys!
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills

32 years, pills, needles and implant... success at last. Dr. Gerald Brock is my hero.

It was 30 years for me, but it was not my choice to wait that long. I never knew the Penile Doppler test existed and I went through all of the pills, pumps, injections, cock rings, etc. before a new doctor finally sent me for that test.
I think your use of the word “settle” is OK in terms of we would rather have natural rock hard erections that lasted as long as it takes to satisfy ourselves and our partners. But, we did not settle in terms of the implant providing us great pleasure, a return of lost self-esteem and re-establishing our sex lives. I feel like I am a kid again. My orgasms are as intense as they were when I was a teenager and I can keep fucking if my wife hasn’t gotten to that point yet. I am one happy man.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Relatively speaking..not that long. A year perhaps. I tried pills, they didn’t work. Once I starting losing size from the peyronies and the ed I made the jump. That was the deal breake... or maker depending on how you approach it
From Long Island. Implanted by Andrew Kramer in Baltimore with AMS Lgx 700 on 1/3/18. Peyronies led to ED and some size loss. Tried viagra, cila is to no avail. Did my research here and other sights then made the jump.

If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? I bet they'll tell me I'm too young to consider getting an implant.

Baseballfan11,
I do not think a surgeon would say you are too young, but they may require that you try every other treatment prior to agreeing to do it. I believe there are other guys here about your age who have them.

That's fair, I shudder at the thought of using a vacuum device. Trying injections wouldn't be so bad but that's not a cure for ED either; I feel like it's just delaying the inevitable implant.

Of all the different treatments, I hated the vacuum pump the most. If you are with a partner it is a huge inconvenience and turn-off. In my case the pump did not easily make my dick hard and the constriction bands used to hold the blood in your shaft were extremely irritating. I was barely hard enough to penetrate and it went limp after a while, even with the band in place.

Yeah jesus... not to mention having to get a prescription filled out for that would make me feel uneasy. Sucks having dick problems but this forum has made my depression so so much less. I feel a lot more like myself. A few weeks back I was feeling suicidal and that's totally out of the ordinary for me.
