Theoretically, could someone just cold call someone like Eid or Kramer or would they need their urologist to say that an implant is the right method to treat the problem? I'm wondering in the case that I end up going through the cycle of appointment after appointment for the next few years

I called Dr. Karpman in the SFO Bay Area on Tuesday. He called back the same day and we talked. After some swapping of information with his staff I went ahead and made the appointment today, just two days later.

I will need to do an EKG and some blood work to show I'm healthy enough for surgery, but he asked the questions over the phone that he needed, otherwise.

Some insurance plans require that you have a referral from your primary doctor before you visit a specialist and have treatment.

I live in NC and on medicare/BC-BS. I called Dr. Kramer and selected him after a yer of study of the different doctors. Great outcome, photo is of first inflate and it has only gotten better since April 2016.

I "cold called" Dr Eid's office after reviewing his website and his youtube videos. Did the phone consultation, and felt confident in his demeanor and knowledge, experience and ability. Didn't't meet him until two days prior to surgery for my preop appointment (ultrasound, dick stretch etc.). I am three plus years post op. Couldn't be happier !

I don't have mine yet. Surgery is scheduled for June 5. But it was great to just be able to cold call and get the doctor to respond. You may need to go through your urologist for insurance reasons, but I didn't.

As I've now become a connoisseur at looking at implanted penises online, I do have to say that the appearance does not look as hard as a natural erection. Perhaps this is because the cylinders do not extend into the glans. Are you worried that your dick will look bizarre post surgery? Sorry for the crudeness.
