I feel hopeless...
Sorry guys, I know I post here a lot but really it's the only place I can post about this stuff. I feel hopeless: say I do get an implant. I'm so young. I'll have to be worried about doing stuff I take for granted now like going out in a bathing suit. It'll take a long time to adjust to pumping. I might lose length and after X number of replacements I'm liable to get an infection or lose sensation. It'll be expensive. I hate having a dick that doesn't work but LONG TERM (I'm talking 40 plus years) I don't know how I could regain sexual normalcy even while implanted. Does anybody know where Minnesota is? I believe he's about my age and implanted. Maybe if he can do it, I can do it too. I just want to provide my girlfriend or any future partner I get with a decent sexual life
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills
Re: I feel hopeless...
Try the injections. It doesn't have to be your permanent solution but it might well give you an ego boost to have a good boner while you work through the decision process. There isn't really much of a down side to giving that route a trial.
R.R.P 2011 Mayo Jacksonville, Dr. M. Wehle. Not nerve sparing. C in margins. Radiation 2023, V.E.D, Viagra and PGE-1 (80mcg/ml) injections @ 8 - 14 units. Originally Edex20, then compounded PGE due to cost. Inject. 12 yrs. It works. Treasure coast of FL.
Re: I feel hopeless...
I'm honestly trying to imagine where my mind would've been when at your age I was actively screwing every girl in the county I could. If I had found on all of those encounters it wasn't going to work like I wanted then, yes, I'd feel hopeless too. You could add to that embarrassment and humiliation I'm sure. I can only come at it from my perspective of being implanted in my 60's. Nearly 20 years ago (still in my 40's actually), my long and always successful sex life came to a sudden stop as the result of a surgery where the surgeon didn't tell me ED was a likely outcome. In fact, I didn't learn till after my visit with the implant doctor who, after reviewing my past surgical history, informed me 75% of men who had the surgery I did end up with untreatable ED. Even then, being nearly twice your age, I was devastated and felt hopeless. My life took a steep, downward trajectory.
I can only tell you it was a miserable existence until I learned about implants and took that step. With what I know now, I'd have gladly done it all those years ago. Instead, I remained one of those guys who couldn't talk to a doctor about it. According to my doctor, on average, you can gain up to 3cm of length with each revision instead of losing each time. As for the bathing suit, an implant doesn't show. Your flaccid dick will be somewhat larger, but who wouldn't like that?
Nobody can give you a true perspective save for another person closer to your age with an implant. Of course you wish things were different, but what if they never will be? It's a relatively minor procedure with an incredibly fast recovery. Within 2 months you'll likely be able to screw whenever you want for as long as you want. I'm firmly against the idea of trying to conceal the fact from a partner you have an implant. Why add that pressure to a sexual encounter? At your age I'm sure there would be some women entirely turned off by not being able to give you a hardon by themself. That will just be too bad for them. They'll never know what they missed out on. I just hope for you that you won't dwell in hopelessness. It might be a tough thing to consider possibly facing up to 3 revisions in your future, but isn't that better than facing the rest of your life struggling to have sex? My best to you.

Thanks Dave... I couldn't have said it better myself. People keep telling him (and others) that the will never get a natural hard on again.... Duh... really? That's what figgin ED is. The injection is NOT A NATURAL HARD ON. Sometimes you get a priapism resulting in an embarrassing trip to the Emergency Department with a great big dick sticking out for all to see and then possibly a 16 gauge needle in the head of your dick to drain some blood. I injected for a while and hated it. It hurt, when actually injecting the freezing cold medication it burned like hell, I missed the mark about 50% of the time and caused scarring that almost fucked up my ability to get the implant which will most likely be necessary for ALL ED patients that want to have a sex life. The injections don't work for ever and cause scarring damage. I wish I had known about the implant 33 years ago. As I told Baseballfan11 in a private message, we have NOTHING TO GAIN by telling him the many positives of the implant.

While I am certainly not young like you, I went through 2.5 years of no erections, got implanted and now am on my third implant. I lost length. I lost some sensitivity. I know my dick "degrades" a little with each surgery. I do fear "losing" the ability to be implanted again.
The "swimsuit thing" - not an issue - wear baggy trunks. Size loss....doesn't happen to everyone but did happen to me. I wish mine were bigger but....I CAN FUCK...!!!
Pumping is a "non-issue" - you get used to it quickly and several of my "friends" pump it for me.
My thoughts: at any age....get the implant and enjoy sex for as long as possible. Implant fails...get another one....DO NOT MISS OUT ON SEX IF YOU CAN POSSIBLY HELP IT!!!!
Good luck man!!!

A man after my own heart... This is exactly what I have been saying. Eventually everything else will fail and the implant will be the ONLY fix... IF you haven't caused too much damage, preventing the implant. I missed out on 33 years of incredible sex... I am really working on catching up..

Re: I feel hopeless...
I even posted an intensive answer, which got deleted as well (or just didn't go out bc my other message was deleted in the same timeframe.)
I don t have an implant yet, but I am about to get one. And I think the most important advice we can take out of this forum is that there are disadvantages to implants.
And on the same time, while I admire all the "older guys" being around and giving wise tips (thank you again), unfortunately you do lack in experience in a lifestyle baseballfan and I most probably want to pursue in the next years (playing team / contact sports, going to festivals, going on a backpacking vacation for 4 weeks etc.)
E.g. noone could give me a good answer if I am possible to play soccer without a cup around my implant etc.)
Unfortunately all the younger guys with implants are not active anymore.

Having an implant will NOT prevent you from doing ANYTHING you could do before.

Re: I feel hopeless...
I agree with Larry
I swim train, lift, run and surf..... not on vacation but as part of my everyday life....always have done and will continue to do so.
The implant only restricts one thing....E fucking D!
