Pump is not in the middle and still feeling painful+heavy

Mine is like yours, but on the left side and only about 85% as prominent. But it does keep my left testicle hiding high up in my pelvis, so much so that it cannot be found without a concentrated search.

My surgeon is unconcerned and neither am I. It is a cosmetic issue (the bulge when wearing briefs) and the fact that if I were to try post-operative vacuum therapy the pump body interferes with getting a good vacuum seal. The pump is high and front, right at the base of the penis.

But, then, there is the fact that I had no pain or discomfort associated with the positioning. Almost from the beginning, the issues are entirely cosmetic and the vacuum seal (which is of minimal concern).

If the discomfort continues even after following the earlier responders' advice, keep asking your surgeon for something to restore proper function. After all, COMPLETE restoration (as much as possible) was the goal of the initial surgery. Missing that mark in a cosmetic sense is one thing. Missing it in function (which includes discomfort) is quite another.

I wonder if this may be because a stitch may have been placed there during surgery to keep the pump on one side or the other (to avoid the pump floating too close up to the scrotum). Still wouldn't explain why mine's painful though.

Hey guys. Thought I'd let you know how my appointment with the surgeon went since my last post on this. (I am currently at Week 9 since the op)..

- The pointing of the pump to RHS in the balls (see earlier photo I posted on this thread to see what I mean) - apparently this is fairly common - and apart from not looking ideal cosmetically, it shouldn't in itself get in the way functionally.

- With respect to the pain I'm still getting during inflations (at where the pump is located), think I'm just going to have to see if this pain goes (it's a lot less than straight after the operation I should mention). The implant itself is looking okay and in the right place - so just going to have to hope the pain subsides itself over the next few months.

The only thing that does look slightly out of place at this point in time is the reservoir (mine is on the RHS) - for which mine is not as hidden away as they would usually like to aim for - and so it makes the tubing at base of penis on RHS feel a bit knotted. And I think this is consequently what makes my penis point a bit diagonally to-the-right during inflations, which is a bit annoying.

I must admit I haven't been disciplined enough to try tugging the pump downward several times a day - not sure it would work though but might be worth a try. What I have been trying to do however is wear a tight pair of briefs underneath the balls in order to 'position' the pump more centrally (as shown in two attached pics) - in the faint hope that this might shift the pump more central gradually over time.

Who did your surgery? I am having very much the same feeling. Its like the tubing is bunched up behind and causing the pump to stick out. I have pulled and massaged but cannot get it to move. Also feels like a stitch may be there holding it in position

Hi I had pump problems from the start also. generally speaking no doctor will consider doing anything for at least three months so you have plenty of time to pull and tug Squish and squeeze And try to move it. Mine was a hopeless case. Some surgeons prefer to attach the pump to your penis. Big mistake bad move. I'm not sure why this is so typical because it is entirely stupid. But someone along the way thought it was a great idea and apparently have been training other misfortunate doctors to do this. Just my opinion. I had mine moved to the proper place right down the middle at the very bottom of my scrotum. Works perfectly now I could never get it to work at all now it works every time. Could not be happier. Hopefully you won't have to go to that extreme but if you do don't wait forever. Tell your surgeon you're very dissatisfied and have him move it. That's only if you can't get it to move. After 4 months mine had moved about a quarter of an inch. Not enough to make any difference. Everytime I inflated it raised up my scrotum. Always uncomfortable when I walked when I sat when I squatted when I turned always in the way and it prevented me from hanging normally when completely flaccid. no problems now good luck
