Don't count yourself out of risk yet. Confirm with your surgeon HOW he measures, how aggressively he sizes (measures the inside of your corpus cavernosum and selects the size of implant to use) and GET DETAILS!
Have you seen videos of the operation, particularly where the surgeon measures with the Furlow tool? Very informative to see that.
If necessary, show him pictures of your erect state or let him inject you with an erection-inducing shot so that YOU KNOW that HE KNOWS what your penis should be after surgery.
If you don't have confidence he will size you properly, find another surgeon.
That is what I would do. You may be OK with your confidence in his judgement. That is fine. I took quite a long time to study up to the point where I was as near 100% confident my surgeon would get it right.
