Re: Trimix gel
Never heard of it until I read your post. Researched and it was interesting, but according to what I read, very expensive compared to injecting. I'm good with the needle, but might look into the gel if injecting becomes a problem. I'll watch this post to see what others say. Best to you.
69 yr. old. Used Viagra and Cialis, but they no longer work. Started Trimix in March. Wonderful stuff. No stuffy nose. No worries about what I eat prior to sex (fatty foods were a no-no with the pills).

I doubt if the gel would have any effect for someone that has an implant, especially since you state that injections are ineffective for you.

Re: Trimix gel
Trimix gel is available from one supplier that I know of. You are correct -- it is very expensive -- last I looked, about $175 US for a package of 6 uses. Actually, calling it Trimix is a bit deceptive, since it contains a high level of PGE1 (typically about 1000 mcg, and extremely small levels of Papaverine and Phentolamine (the other chemicals in trimix).
Also, their "patented" delivery system is pretty "iffy". I purchased it twice and decided it wasn't worth it. About 50% of the time, it was ineffective. Thus costing about $60 per erection (that is no better than an injecting).
However, there are alternatives that are more acceptable. Trimix is a combo of 3 chemicals, but only one of them (Prostaglandin, PGE1) is the heavy lifter. PGE-1 by itself will usually cause a decent erection in most men when inserted directly into the urethra --which is what the "Gel" folks try to do, but their method is not very viable.
Search around FT, I have posted many times about what Trimix is, and how it works. If you want more info, feel free to contact me.

Check my post below. 3rd para. You can get synthetic PGE1 on-line pretty inexpensively and it works a lot better than Trimix gel. It comes in 200mg water soluble tablets and 200mg is more than enough when it actually reaches the urethra and leeches thru it into the CC.

Re: Trimix gel
I had a prescription for Vitaros, which is basically EDEX in a cream/gel form that you "inject" in your urethra. It has NEVER worked for me, not even a tiny bit. It was quite a mess to apply and practically did nothing other than sometimes get my glans a bit red.
My uro said all feedback had been negative so far, so i am pretty sure it's gonna go off the market if it hasn't, since it's effective use is limited to an extremely low % of patients.

40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

I know several guys (including myself) that use PGE-1 inserted into the urethra. Most get an acceptable erection tho not quite as hard as injected Trimix. It's also mega-cheaper. The problem with most of the MUSE/EDEX goodies is that theh do not get to the area where they need to be to do the work. If they do not reach beyond the penile head, the chemical never gets to the CC. This is the problem with TriMix Gel. It gets into the head of the penis, but not deep enough to absorb nicely into the CC. IMO, The chemical needs to be at least an inch beyond the penile head to work.

Re: Trimix gel
So your saying the gel is the same product as the aloprostadil but wrapped.in gel so if you were injecting 20 units of aloprostadil you could in theory get it into you urethra and the affect is the same
