I find it hard to locate the deflate button.
Shipper:
I had the same problem with finding the deflate button on my AMS 700 LGX. It gets much easier after you heal up and there's less fibrous mushy stuff in your scrotum...took me about 7-8 weeks to get to that point. The basic drill is this: feel behind the pump and trace up to the back & middle of the rectangular deflation block with your index finger (opposite side of the deflation button). You'll feel some circular indented ridges. Once your index finger is there, put your thumb on the other side of the deflation block on the deflation button & do a claw motion...press both your index finger & thumb together on either side of the deflation block. When you hear the buzz, hold it for about 4-5 seconds until the buzzing stops...then wring out the remaining fluid by squeezing the top of the shaft & working your way down. They should've given you a rubber model to practice on...do the claw move on that for practice & then try it out. That was my biggest problem w/ the implant. I got hold of Dr. Kramer who contacted AMS for me...ended up sending a rep to my office for further instruction...great company. Also had the local patient rep checking in with me...sometimes this may be easier to do in a bathtub full of warm water...especially in the beginning. Rest assured you'll get the hang of it and be workin' your AMS 700 like a champ in no time...
100% agree except use hot water (as hot as you can stand). Hot water loosens up the rubber and makes it easier to claw.
