Hello gentlemen
As an avid guest of this site prior to penile implant surgery, I decided to become a more active participant now that I’ve finally “pulled the trigger.” By way of background: I was diagnosed two years ago at age 58 with prostate cancer. A da Vinci robot-assisted prostatectomy was performed on April 1, 2010 and I have been cancer-free ever since. Having never had ED issues prior to PC, I assumed that I would be one of the many men who would eventually recover, perhaps with the aid of oral medications. Unfortunately, the past two years have been spent pursuing every possible ED solution including Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, a vacuum erection device, Muse suppositories and eventually injections. While the bi-mix injections proved to be the only real solution for effective and reliable erections, I eventually developed a pronounced downward curve that made intercourse uncomfortable for both me and my wife. Six sessions of Verapamil injections later and no improvement in the bend, I decided to look into implants. Sound familiar to anyone? This site was invaluable in helping me make that decision and I hope I can continue to learn from, and be of help to others who are at various points along the same path. Thanks.
Dusty

Welcome to FT Dusty.
We have similar histories.
I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 and was not satisfied with the results from the "conventional"
ED Treatment Modalities.
In December 2007 I underwent the Penile Implant Procedure and, thankfully, this completely corrected my ED and restored
both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
Best of luck with your new Implant.
Bob
