It is a little late for this advice to you, Jimmgym, but it may help other new members looking at implantation.
When I first found FrankTalk, I took a couple weekends to read through two and a half years of posts/threads with titles that looked informative. I recommend this. It gives one a better basis for forming question and understanding the answers.
In the next 10 days, you should prepare yourself mentally as best you can.
Do not be discouraged by any stories you find of problems. Just prepare to keep your mind positive, your surgical site clean and antiseptic and that you are committed down a path that only goes up (double entendre intended).

Re: Surgery one week away
Good advice, I read em all when I was going to use injections.
After 5 or 6 years, I did the same with implants.
I was a bit concerned when I decided to go with my urologist of 5 or 6 years.
I only heard of one member who had surgery by him, and he almost died from infection.
He had a revision and time in the same hospital I ended up in.
In the end he turned out fine and last I heard, he was happy.
I wish more guys would pass along positive results, but you have to see the trend?
I know sometimes it's a leap of faith and as most things in my life,
things worked out.
I just got a good vibe from talking to him.

Re: Surgery one week away
Getting my titan tomorrow. I would add that hibiclens works good for showers for a couple days prior to surgery. Helps clean the body and get ahead of infections. I may be a little OCD but I am also not wearing any of same clothes towels etc since I started it 2 days ago. Anything I put on my body is clean. Clean sheets every night to. Might be irritating my wife a bit but hey I figure it can't hurt.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.
Re: Surgery one week away
I found it confounding about Hibiclens. Online and my doc's office both said not to put in on the genitals. WTH is with that?
I saw that others here used it on their genitals without any problems. I confess I already had decided to use it their. and had no problems. I get sick of the CWA bullshit nowadays with meds. Walmart also made my doc reduce the strength of my Oxi.

Re: Surgery one week away
Good luck to you. Sitting in my hospital room with an aching penis even after morphine and percocet. I rarely take a tylenol but figured I am using the pain meds for this. All in all I feel pretty good. The nurse just emptied 90 cc of stuff that came out my jp drain. I am kind of glad that stuff is still not collecting in my ball sack.
Six hours since implant and feeling pretty good.

Take two weeks. If you're recovery was as inconsequential as mine was, you won't want to do anything but ice your balls, binge on Netflix, and drive your partner nuts asking them to get stuff for you. And stay on your back the first week. Keeping your surgery site at or above your heart will keep blood from collecting and hematomas from forming.
And have patience. Healing takes time. You're looking at long term recovery. At the end of the road, you'll have a penis you never have to worry about getting soft when you don't want it to...in fact you'll never even think about it. It'll just be HARD. 6 months from now you'll be working on breaking endurance records pounding your partner from behind.
I thought about changing my name to "You gotta stop I can't take it anymore" but it's too hard to pronounce in business meetings.

Re: Surgery one week away
Hi Jim
I am 3 weeks plus post op
I had Titan implant and can tell you that right now it will be a game changer.
Haven't been able to do anything other than cycle the pump for now but having a 5 years of not being able to do anything except VED and still not penetrate
The pain isn't bad at all after the first 3 days but the burning ache from stretching is on and off. Sometimes hard to sleep with it.
My biggest problem is I was a grower and after prostate surgery it looked like a turtle.
Now with a chubby my poor little head is always rubbing.
And after 3 wks it is finally able to point it down to the 5 o'clock but last week it was constantly at the 3 o'clock position.
I guess because I have too much pub fat?
But it would rub, ended up wearing sweat pants most of the time, jeans were just out of the question
Large long shirts help to hid the chubby
Everyone on here tells you time is your friend and I believe it
I keep asking the surgery nurse if I could leave before and the week after I had serious WTF did I do moments
But now that I am starting to cycle I feel a lot better.
Still waiting on Bicycling Dr will tell me when it will be good.
Can't wait to road test this puppy
