But I have heard horror stories of guys who were teased about having a small (flaccid) penis, and in today's tell-all world I understand that some of those younger guys have other guys telling everyone -- including females -- about so-and-so having a small dick. Such a shame.

For the first 10 years of my life we lived in the country. The public school we went to didn't have a shower room. When I was 10, we moved to the city and I went to a new school. There were 4 guys in my class who were well known as jocks. They were on every sports team offered. They also "dated" the 4 cutest girls in the school... sucking face, swapping spit, etc. Then I went to high school. I was older and now sweat my butt off in gym class so off to the showers... This is where I discovered that I had a below average Johnson. Of the 4 jocks (who were still in my class) 3 of them had big packages and the 4th was chubby and had a fat pad so it was hard to tell but I think he was just average. For the next 4 years, those @#$holes teased me relentlessly and made sure that every girl in that high school knew that I was hung like a hamster... so, yup, I know exactly how bad it can get. I also understand that it should not bother me, etc. but that is much easier said than done. :D

It sounds like those of you old timers who are embarrassed about how you "show" only experience the problem in gym locker rooms. What's ironic is that architects are designing new exercise facilities with private shower stalls to accommodate millennials who don't want to be seen naked in front of other men, no matter how large or small their penis shows. I wish our culture was better at dealing with nudity, but we always equate nakedness with sexuality. I empathize with you guys, but living out in the boonies, I have no locker rooms to go to, no comparisons to make. Years ago, in high school? Now that's a different story...but Mr. Flaccid was a different creature back then too.

For some reason I've never been able to shake the memory of a six month jaunt through several European countries when I was 20 years old. I was the stereotypical American hitchhiker with a backpack and Army surplus coat. I was staying at a youth hostel in Avignon, France and went to shower one morning. I was fourth in line for the only shower stall. A guy had just finished his shower and instead of coming out to dry himself he opened the curtain and faced everyone waiting. Apparently he forgot a towel because he kept wringing out a wash rag and wiping water off himself with it. It was my first experience seeing a guy who nearly hung to his knees. He took special care and pride when he got to that region, carefully lifting it to display to the astonished onlookers. I was sufficiently intimidated after a few minutes of trying not to look that I decided I really didn't smell all that bad after all and it was a cool enough day I wasn't likely to bust much of a sweat anyhow. I promptly slinked away unnoticed.

I always hated public urinals, especially if someone saw me trying to fish out my little northern European descendent size dick. I always hoped the corner against a wall urinal would be available so I could turn away from view. NOT ANYMORE! I go straight for the middle of the pack and sling out a very appreciable "member" (in the parlance of 80's porn novels). I've slimmed down by 40 pounds recently as well following my spinal fusion surgery this past December. Although I wasn't overweight by much before, I definitely look better now than most other 66 year old guys. I'm kinda wishing a nude beach was somewhere close by! I'd have no hesitation these days.

When I was stationed in the American Southwest, I had a friend who told this story about visiting a brothel across the border.

When he mentioned that he had a small penis, the professional lady replied, "pequeño pero sabroso" (small but tasty)

Another friend of mine used to comment, "I can do more tricks on three inches of peter than a monkey can on a mile rope."

Take heart. The visual is not everything, nor is it definitive.

Yup, agreed... all you have to do is convince a chick to screw you with your micro-dick. :)
