Hi guys,
I'm 27 and have ED, I had a penile injury when I was about 20 and it's been bad for awhile but has steadily gotten worse. I have to use injections right now to get a sustainable erection. My question to the guys hopefully around my age if any are out there or respond is: How do you advise to go about dating? I've had a few bad experiences where I've told someone I have ED and that ended things pretty much immediately actually. So I'm a little scared to tell? Or when/how to tell? If I'm having to use injections it's pretty dang impossible to keep hiding that if the relationship becomes more long term. I'd really like a long term relationship and I'm trying to figure out the best route to do that. I'm also considering getting an implant. At least with an implant I'd always be ready, I can't tell you how many times having to rely on injections has caused me to miss out on sex. But in my opinion it might feel really weird for me to have one and I feel like that might possibly make a girl more turned off or leave me right away. It's been very depressing trying to keep hope though.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For me to be ready at anytime I carry a 24 hour thermos bottle,I put ice and the injection medication inside. I have been doing that whenever i go out and with my girlfriend. I have been able to give her amazing sex and at other times when the medication is not on me I just say that Im not in the mood for sex. Injections are a good solution , you don’t need to have sex every day in a long term relationship.

That's actually a really good idea with the thermos bottle. Has she ever asked about why you always have it on you? Or just doesn't really pay attention to it? That seems like a way better way to keep it consistently colder for longer. I think mine would get a little too hot and wouldn't work at all then even though I'd have ice packs all over it. How long have you been dating each other? How many times a week do you guys have sex? I always hated injecting night after night. It would get sore and more uncomfortable for me. When are you getting an implant? I'm getting one soon. What's the main reasons for getting one? Against one? I hate how I'm never ready, lack confidence too because of that, it's killed so many opportunities for me I can't stand it. If I could escape to the bathroom before sex with a girl I at least would have a short term thing but they always thought how weird it was how I would do that. My trying to hide it from them and make up excuses in the morning to not have sex etc also was a struggle and made things rocky.

and jumping into the bathroom to do a quick injection, and you miss the sweet spot from rushing. Pop out like superman out of a telephone booth thinking you will be hard in just a minute. THEN!! nothing gets hard. WTF!!
I have an implant now.

Re: Injections and Dating Questions/Advise? Anyone?
Ive been using injections for some months now. I'm not sure on advice related to using the medication or getting an implant. If it's ok with you, i can tell you what I did. I just told the person I was dating that I had issues with sex. She was really cool about it and we are still together. I've talked with other females and they've all told me basically that as long as the guy is addressing the issue and doing what he is able to, it wouldn't matter to them if he needed an injection or even an implant. I'm a bit older so that could be a factor, but I also think this could be useful for you to screen partners and the ones that don't react well are sort of doing you a favor. Also, I'm not sure what your prescribing clinician recommended, but I'm not supposed to do more than 3 injections per week and 12 per month. I'm not offering medical advice but I thought I'd share that. I think it is to reduce risk of scarring. Best of luck to you. I'm following up soon regarding my injections. I have minor concerns I'm getting checked out soon and I'll keep you posted if you like. Take care and message me any time.

Dear Friend,
I am 54 and had periods of extremely busy dating life dating multiple women at the time. Now I’m only dating one and we have been living together. She is half my age and does not know that I use injection. From cancer I have a colostomy and I have to cover that with a patch all the time. This is what I do.
We have a kind of code for sex: “when is bed time?”. She takes a shower then I do. I inject, shower and put on a tight underwear and a long dress shirt, this way my erection is not obvious.
I enter the bedroom, kiss, go down on her and by that time it is reasonable for me to have and show my erection. We have sex for usually an hour once or twice a week. I stay erect for two hours after I ejaculate so we plan the sex at the end of the day and I just lay on my stomach and go to sleep.
Don’t worry about keeping the injection cold. I just tested mine after 10 days at room temperature and it had the same effect. This medication is over a year old and good as new. I travel internationally and within a couple of weeks I’m good.
All the best!

Re: Injections and Dating Questions/Advise? Anyone?
I am older but actively dating, and my gf looks 35 and loves sex, sometimes 2 times a day. I also use a thermos if traveling. I keep the main 10cc vial frozen, then just load a weeks worth of needles each week. That way, if I can't keep a syringe cold, I dont need to worry about the main bottle. Dont forget the benefits to her. I can stay hard for over an hour on the trimix, something no normal person could easily do, and she loves that. So, pitch it as a benefit, not a problem
