AMS pump problems

I am just over 3 months with new ams cx and pump. Pump locks up on the first pump about a third of the time. I squeeze the pump and it does not re inflate. I have to push the deflate button and the pump fills back up. Sometimes I have to do this a couple times before it starts working. I have reset the pump multiple times. I don’t go back to the doc until June. My pump will not be replaced unless it quiets working completely.

I was implanted in April of this year. My pump locks up and then I reset it. It would pump 3 or 4 times. It never inflated after the pump felt resistance. I can pump the bulb even when it is hard and hear the fluid move but nothing happens. I pump and hear the pop and nothing inflates. I have given up and made an appointment with the surgeon. I do not blame him, the pump must be defective.

My AMS pump would pump 300 pumps and still not get hard. 2, 3, 4, months later, I forget, Dr. Levine got it to work. It still worked half assed for a while but did get better. I found it helped to hit the drain valve and start all over if it got hard or made an ass of itself but if I squeezed too much fluid out of the cylinders, it was hard to get it going again. Again, hitting the drain valve helped get it started again. Hope it gets better for you.
