AMS, so looks more natural and works on girth, no so much length. The weave in the AMS devices is designed to improve, not shrink tissue. The Titan is more rigid material so you are supporting a semi all the time, plus there is the dog ear issues. Dr. Kramer told my that 90% of his REVISION surgery was removing and substituting for the AMS. AMS is more appropriate for 75% of implant patients according to 3 of the 4 doctors I interviewed. Hope this helps

My question was specific to the ams-cx, because I read only very little about this device here in this forum.

I have a consultation with a surgeon in two weeks and I'd like to do some research as to exactly what I want when I see him. My biggest concern is that I've lost 2" of length over the years and I want to get at least an inch back. I seem to recall from previous reading here that some implants add length, but others don't. Is that true?
Anyway, tell me what you have, if you're happy with it. The good and the bad.
I also want to know how it feels. When pumped up does your penis feel like a natural erection? Is there any loss of sensitivity?
This is all a complete unknown to me. Please add any comments you feel are pertinent.
I got measured pre-op by my doc and he advised the Titan due to my length 6.25 in and girth 6 in. He uses both and gave me back every bit of what i had pre-op. was given the green lite and have been using it more in the last 3 weeks then the last 3 years! I have noticed that it does take me longer to cum but hey enjoying that. it took some time getting used to the flaccid length since prior to i was a grower. haven't experienced the dog ears that some have, like others here wish i'd done it long ago. good luck

Hi Bumble,
so when they measure your length how do they do that? Do they due a bone pressed measurement for that? I think I'm somewhere around there.
"given the green lite and have been using it more in the last 3 weeks then the last 3 years!" this is awesome I hope this is the case for me! fingers crossed
"it does take me longer to cum" Is it a struggle to cum? Like do you get exhausted and wonder if you will cum? Are you unable sometimes even when given good rest in between since the last time you ejaculated? I feel like I already have this problem but it is somewhat caused by the otc pain medications and taking pretty much any pills or injections can cause ejaculation problems I believe.
"like others here wish i'd done it long ago" I still have second thoughts and am in the process of rescheduling surgery because I need to do VED for a little while. Can you help quiet my second thoughts possibly lol? This scares me but I know right now my sex life is absolutely miserable and if I want to date I HAVE to also be upfront about my problem if we want things to work as best as possible but I do feel embarrassed given this was an accident that I did to myself.

A perfect choice for you. Dr's who utilize both brands will end up giving the patient what is the appropriate choice, not just what's in the cabinet.

Re: Which implant?
Coloplast or AMS?: First, thank you all for your content on this site. I've spent quite a bit of time on it for the past couple of months. My Urologist has done over 300 implants penscrotal. I met with him in February about the possibility of doing an implant. When I told him that I understood that the infrapubic method was reported to result in less pain during the healing process and have a faster recovery time, he said that another surgeon in their group was using the infrapubic method and had done thousands of implants. He has arranged for that surgeon to perform my surgery and concurrently use my surgery as instruction to him to learn this method. I am scheduled for the first surgery of the day on June 5th. Their firm normally uses AMS, but my doctor - with concurrence by the more experienced surgeon – will use either AMS or Coloplast devices – my choice. I need to let them know which device to use by thisTuesday, May 21st, when I meet with the more experienced surgeon. Note that they have had some problems with the LGX model, so would prefer to use the 700-CX model or the Titan. I've read that some of you have had an AMS device replaced with a Coloplast and others who have a Coloplast replaced with AMS. Others have had replacements using the same manufacturer. Still others may just have a strong opinion one way or the other. I am 70 years old with venous leak. My wife and I have enjoyed only oral sex for the last 3 or 4 years. With the use of 20 mg of Cialis (preferred) or 100 mg of Viagra along with a cock ring and a Bone Yard band around my penis and scrotum, I am able to maintain a good erection and ejaculation. But I am unable to maintain an erection for successful vaginal or anal intercourse. I have been using a VED 3 or 4 times a week for the last 4 weeks, beginning at 4” Hg for 5 minutes and currently 15 minute sessions at 4” for 5 minutes, 4.5” for 5 minutes and 5” for the final 5 minutes. (My urologist suggested that this would help both before and after the surgery.) At maximum erection using Cialis and the bands, I am 5.5” long and 5.5” around the shaft and glans. I'd really appreciate input and advice from any of you to help me decide which device to use and if I am on the right path.
