I know these questions have been addressed in other threads, and I have been reading them, but I would also like to post my own concerns, my way, if you would excuse the redundancy.
I am 65, treated for prostate cancer a few years ago. Since then have had ED, and urinary issues. So I have lots of problems to work through. A few questions about the penis implant:
1. How much pain might I expect if was to have this procedure? Weeks? Months? How bad is it? Where is the pain associated?
2. Is the penis as hard and same size as normal? Does it feel the same to the touch? If not, how is it different?
3. Is intercourse any different? Does it feel different in any way? How does your orgasm compare to before? Does it take longer to climax, or same?
4. Is the device easy to use? Is it reliable? Does it work as advertised? Would you recommend a specific manufacturer?
5. Would you recommend this to a friend? Do you have any regrets? Are you happy with your choice to have this procedure? Are there things you would have done differently?
Thankyou for your attention. Any sincere input is most helpful.

Re: Considering implant, Bellingham, Wa
Hi. I'm 67, also had PCa and some urinary problems. My ED has been pretty much total since the cancer treatments. I got an implant about a year ago. My answers:
1. For me, the pain wasn't bad. I had infra-pubic surgery, rather than peno-scrotal, and I think that helped. I was able to walk a few miles after a week and was playing racquetball at 3 weeks. Initial pain was both penis and scrotum, but after healing a bit, was mainly in the penis as I "cycled" the implant each day. It was hard to have anything touching my dick for a while and I went naked from the waist down whenever possible for a couple of weeks.
2. Hard and normal for me - it actually seems a little bigger than it used to, but I'd had pretty bad atrophy after years of ED. It feels normal to the touch. The skin moves just like it used to. One difference is that the dick and sack both feel heavier, which is easy to understand since the cylinders and pump add weight. Also, when flaccid, my shaft feels stiffer than before. The cylinders are made of a stiffer material than the tissues they replaced.
3. I don't see any different in intercourse, though it perhaps takes a little longer to climax. There is good feeling and sensation, but it's just different enough that it takes me a little longer.
4. It's very easy to use, once you get used to it. At first, the pump bulb is very stiff and your pinching your scrotal skin to push it. This causes a little pain, but not much once you've healed. It's easier, especially at first, to inflate when your sack is warm, such as in a hot bath. I have a hot tub and it's easiest of all in the tub. I like the AMS 700 LGX that I have, but since I haven't had anything else I can't tell you how the others feel. From research, it appears the AMS is more flexible, especially when flaccid and the Titan is stiffer. If you're not "big" I'd probably say the AMS, while more hung guys should probably consider the Titan. Others may feel differently.
5. I'd definitely recommend to a friend, and already have.
Good luck with you decision. I'm happy to talk with you by phone or Skype if you want. Just drop me a PM here.
Quincy.

Re: Considering implant, Bellingham, Wa
I had a small spot close to the prostrate when I was around 58 years old. So I had surgery to remove the cancer, but to make sure the cancer had not spread they also took out the prostrate, lymph nodes. I am 76 now and still cancer free. But after the surgery they tried viagra, caverject and that would give me an erection, but man sticking a quarter inch long needle on the side of my dick hurt too much, so this specialists at USC showed me the three piece implant and asked me if I would consider. I said yes, and the first one lasted 15 good years, 2nd revision not so good because it only lasted I believe twenty months, and I still think it was the pump. So I had the third revision and man this doctor done a great job. Recovery was quick. But one thing I will tell you or anybody that has this surgery is to apply ice packs as much as possible to bring the swelling down, and the bruising will also go away within a week. I had some pain after the surgery for a day or two, but then after I did not even need the pain killers.
So I say you will be just fine and you will love feeling normal again. The erections are just like if you were normal, orgasm the same. You will get the same feeling on orgasm, but if your prostrate was removed you might not squirt any semen, but the, but the feeling is still the same.

Re: Considering implant, Bellingham, Wa
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Walsh from beginning to end. I really have nothing to complain about with the service I received at UW, it was conveniently close for me (I lived in Issaquah at the time), the results were basically perfect, and the cost was significantly lower than at some other clinics.
Used Viagra/Cialis for years, then diagnosed with low T so started injections, eventually trimix, then implanted with an AMX 700 LGX 18cm+4cm RTE on 2/16/18 by Dr Thomas Walsh of the University of Washington Medical Center.

I have done a lot of research on the brands and doctors. After speaking with the rep. from Coloplast, I can say that the Titan was designed for larger men (bigger than 6.5 flaccid) This is mostly because of the weight of the penis... also for severe Peyronie's disease. It has the ability to straighten it out whereas the AMS is not really good for severe Peyronie's. The 4 doctors I interviewed all concure. Hope this helps.

Re: Considering implant, Bellingham, Wa
Well guys I would also like to put Dr Walsh on a a higher step in life. I am 2 weeks out of surgery from the good doctor. I has to travel from Western Montana as I felt there was no complainant surgeons in or around Western Montana I trusted by boys to. It just seems that that every-time I need Urologist I end up going to Seattle. I can say the first few days were a cake walk until DAY 3 that is when i found out about swelling and discoloration of body parts. Oh Boy did I have fun for the next several days. As as soon as it had started it was all over. Now I have to mustard the effect to start the pulling of the pump down. its painful but tolerable. it just i need instructions on how to do it and make sure I am doing it correctly. Maybe I can find me a nurse to assist me in my excising of pump pulling Any suggestion fro the veterans would be appreciated. I have tried web searches but nothing seems to pop up so to speak to help. On to the next steps in my journey.
Just remember to pass along the good doctors credentials to all of you friends as both his office staff ad surgical staff are all excellent folks and work really well together to get you what you want.

Good to hear, Jisherwood. Just gently pull it down. I did it in a hot tub twice day. My left testicle became attached to the pump with scar tissue so I would just gentle pull the 2 apart and pump down. Nice to hear of good results from docs on the west coast. Mine was in LA at USC but he just retired.

Well it has been 6 weeks now and I do believe I have the all clear for launch. I am still having some issue with pumping I was installed with a AMS 700 CX 21cm + 5cm extensions . 80ml reservoir, was not able to get 100ml reservoir due to neobladder surgery in 12/17. I have not gotten, i think, completely towel rack hard but it is getting close. I m just sure how many pumps I need to do? Well I guess practice makes perfect right . Well till next time it is off to practice some more and get a handle on thing, So to Speak
