Hey All,
Long story short, after much trial and error / venous ligation surgery I'm likely going to be receiving an implant. I'm 27 and it absolutely terrified me but thinking through things logically if it needs to be done it needs to be done.
I was hoping to ask a somewhat generic question about which implant to take. Obviously size is very important to me, and retaining what I have or even building upon it (I've been reading about cycling etc. though need to do more) would likely help me cope with the stress of having the surgery / recovery.
I'm pretty much 6 inches as is though am not actually sure about girth (all I can say atm is that it looks good relative to the length i.e. is proportional). My consultant has recommended a titan for me though will also provide alternative options too.
I wanted to ask your two cents on the titan should any of you have it. And whether you think I should opt for the likes of the LGX; reading that this can improve length is something that appeals to me given the risk of shortening due to surgery though I am unsure of what to expect with girth.
The Titan is best for girth though won't do anything for length with cycling?
I haven't come across many young people here who receive the surgery so if (most likely more a question of when) I go through with it I will absolutely create a journal to have on record.
My last two questions are how would you recommend I take from work? And, should I be using a pump in the weeks before surgery to ensure maximum length or is this a thing?
Many Thanks
27, most likely opting for implant though unsure of which, currently 6" in length when erect, no morning erections in years / not hard enough to live my life
Final months to implant (most likely)
Final months to implant (most likely)
27, ED for years, venous leakage, failed venous ligation, likely opting for an implant soon...

Definitely use at least one of the two protocols for pre-op vacuum therapy. I did for nearly a year while getting authorization for the implant and finding a surgeon I wanted, though 60 days is regarded as the optimum pre-op period.
I took three weeks off work, though could have gone back for at least half-days after 7-10 days. I had the leave time and it was a nice vacation. The last week was very easy.

Thanks for that Lost Sheep! It's something I'll definitely raise and discuss with the doc before continuing. If the whole pump techniques do work then I'd be crazy not to take advantage.
And as for the time off that is brilliant! I know it likely varies quite a bit person to person (relatively speaking) so it's great to here of personal experience.

Re: Final months to implant (most likely)
I have read a number of posts on FrankTalk from men who have had venous ligation surgery. I've never heard that it has worked. Has anyone every had successful VL surgery? If so how long did the results last?
60 yrs old. Gradually worsening ED for 10 years. Pills and trimix not working well anymore. Will need an implant in the near future.

Re: Final months to implant (most likely)
I pumped almost everyday to help maintain length and girth. As I work at a computer I didn't take any time off and after surgery (3days) I drove back to North Carolina without a problem. Keep Ice on for wed.-friday and I used two bags which helped. Used Motrin and didn't need stronger meds. Surgery went well and had bruising due to extra work done inside (scaring).
Enjoy being hard again and I have placed my first inflate here and since then gained back about .5 inch. Mental part may be the best just knowing you can have an erection and never wonder again if you can have intercourse.

Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.

Thanks for sharing dirtman1993. My surgery is scheduled next Tuesday 6/18, and I’m still worried that I’m making the right decision considering my age 78. Reading your excellent results really helps me with having the surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Bailey
77 yo with ED for over 20 years.Tried everything, & found injections were the only thing that worked.I am so grateful for FT. Was implanted 6/18/19 with a 18cm AMS LGX w 3.0cm RTE,100ml reservoir, infrapubic procedure by Dr. Richard Roach, “Bailey”

Michael99, To measure girth when erect, wrap a strip of paper around your penis. break the paper off where the ends meet. Lay the paper out and measure it. Girth is the same as circumference. Same as the distance around the outside. My surgeons choice at 6 inch length was the LGX. It feels bulky when soft. Like having piece of garden hose inside me. Cant imagine what a titan would feel like as they say that material is bulkier yet. My surgeon with 30 years experience preferred the LGX for guys up to 6 inch.

A tailor's tape measure is flexible enough to wrap around a penis for measurement.
For greater accuracy, I use a string. Wrap it around my penis four times. Observe the point where the string meets a mark I put near the starting end (so my fingers don't interfere with the measurement) and measure (against a ruler) the length between the mark and the observed point. Then divide by four.
A million ways to measure.

Re: Final months to implant (most likely)
Reflecting on my experiences, and imagining that I was 27, as you are, I would go ahead with an implant.. and see it as an implanted sex aid (lets face it lots of body part augmentations are made)..
- I was not ready for work 2 weeks after surgery.. the pain in my scrotum was just too uncomfortable.. however I did not take pain medication
- VED work at least a month before was recommended by my urologist.
