My ED cause revealed

I am passing this along because so many men are left wondering what happened when ED creeps into their life. I know it boggled my mind as I was healthy, exercised 5-6 days a week, ate good, didn't smoke, only drank occasionally, etc. I searched high and low for answers before finally giving in to doing an implant which definitely saved my sex life and has been the best thing I could possibly do in my situation since pills and tri-mix stopped working. I just found out I have Chronic Kidney Disease and am in Stage 3 meaning like half my kidney function is gone. Mind you, NO DOCTOR ever went over blood lab results having to do with kidney function. No one ever told me I was in Stage 1 and 2 so I could start making some changes. I had NO IDEA. I even went in to find out why my feet and lower legs were swollen so much which is another sign of CKD. That and the ED and high blood pressure should've rang the alarm for my doctor but it didn't. So men, please have your eGFR and creatine levels checked for kidney disease. It may be too late to stop your ED but it might get you going on the right track sooner to save your kidneys.

My potassium level is fine. I am thinking this is from a lifetime of eating poorly...too much sugar and meat, not enough fruits and veggies. I am almost 59, at 37 I started working out and taking in tons of protein shakes, bars, supplements...drinking anything but water, too much alcohol, etc. Basically, this is paying for my sins and most likely the reason this is happening to men younger and younger. From my understanding vegetarians rarely have problems with ED. If only I had been raised that way. And too much protein is extremely hard on the kidneys.

Its just CKD or Chronic Kidney Disease. There are 5 stages until full kidney failure, which, at that time you would need dialysis or a kidney transplant to stay alive. I am at stage 3a already out of the blue. Like a slap in the face for a wake-up call. They didn't even start testing for it until 2002. This really needs to be addressed nationwide and let people know earlier BEFORE it gets too bad. Give us a chance to help ourselves through lifestyle and diet changes. If this is a major contributing factor to what is causing our nations ED problems, it really needs more attention. I wish there was a doctor on FrankTalk willing to discuss the issue.

I'm from the UK and currently under the NHS and our healthcare system is very different to yours in terms of logistics and operating. I've been going through ED for 2.5 years now. I've tried Viagra (Avanafil, Sildenafil, Tadalafi), pump, pellet medication into penis and currently having psychosexual therapy (Sex counselling). Nothing has really worked for me so far.

I opted to get a penile doppler sound privately under Dr Ralph (based in London) and it showed my inflow/outflow of blood is very healthy and above average. As of yet, we haven't found a cause for my ED and Doctors are assuming its Psychogenic (Mental) related due to my age. I've looked into implants and done research into them, I believe its the way forward for me. I understand it has pro's and cons. I understand i will never be able to have a natural erections ever again, this risks of mechanical failure, Infection and dissatisfaction etc. I understand all these risks but still believe implant is what i need.

Sorry to hear about your struggles my friend. From what I understand, kidney problems affect nitric oxide levels which are responsible for our erections. I hope you can get implanted soon. It will change your life. Women love the fact that you're hard and stay hard even after ejaculation.
