Under the knife in one week 8/13/2019

Postby olie20 » Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:54 am

Well I have made the decision to have my implant. In fact i got a call 2 weeks ago and i was asked if I wanted to come in a week earlier, I said yes. I am getting a little nervous about this, not the surgery but the recovery. Not sure how I can lay flat with feet elevated for two days. I just wish it were all over. I am so sick of this ED, its really getting old. Seems like I have had it forever. I tired everything pills, shots, and then the vacuum devise. It worked but the ring i needed really hurt when it snapped on and it was really tough to get off. I am so looking forward to just pumping up and staying hard. My wife is also wanting me to get the surgery. I am going to Dr Kramer of Baltimore, he seems really confident. I have watched all his videos, read all his papers, met with him in Baltimore and can't wait till D day. Has anyone had to drive a distance after the surgery? Our home is about 2 hours away and i am staying in a motel for an extra day then driving home. I am worried about that, I want to avoid massive swelling and black and blue.

Well wish me luck guys I'll let you know how it goes.

You should be good to drive 2 hours. Dr Kramer is great I wish he were doing mine. I am going in to schedule my operation in a few hours too. Also nervous but excited for the future.

In 2 weeks I will see Dr Kramer also. 5 months ago I had and implant. I will say that I had not pain, minimal swelling for the first day home. ! hour away from home. Went shopping , ate breakfast and came home and rested for the next 3 days. No problems.
I am going to have a revision if all goes well. I have had some problems from the current implant by another doctor. I am counting on Dr Kramer.
Try to put the after surgery out of your mind. I know that is hard to do. Working yourself up because of it is not doing you any good either. We all have survived out implant surgeries. Do as the doctor suggests. He knows what he is doing and trust him.
Been there done that. Good luck with your surgery. Ice will be your friend.

I just went under this morning for replacement of a leaking implant. (8-6-19), I was Dr. Kramer’s first operation at Cheasapeak Urology. Scheduled at 0600, paperwork went smooth and in the operation room at 0706. My first time with Dr Kramer and he made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Chesapeake urology staff was excellent.

It is my recommendation to stay over the day of operation. I also live about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away and took the docs advice to stay and lay on back as much as possible. Honestly thinking of extending to Thursday morning.

Stayed at holiday inn express, 5 minutes away.

Congratulations for going for the plunge!
I had the surgery at11:00 am. Stayed in hospital till 6:00 am next morning. (That way they consider it “day” surgery, since I didn’t stay over 24 hours)
My wife picked me up and drove me home 2 1/2 hours. Halfway we stopped for breakfast. I went pee and sprayed all over the place. 80% pumped. Got home, no problems.
What I’ve heard of Kramer, he makes sure there is no bleeding when he closes you up. I suspect you will have little bruising.

Good luck and you will be plunging into your wife with abandon!

I drove from Beech Mountain NC to see Dr. Kramer and that was 3-2-16. Very little pain, great experience and have helped another man/wife. They saw me inflated and watched my surgery. He then saw Dr. Kramer and now a rabbit per his wife. Be patient is important and do what he suggests, then enjoy.
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.

Chesapeake Urology includes almost all of the urologists in the Baltimore-Washington area except those related to Johns Hopkins. I have used one of their doctors with great success for some 20 years. (And no, I am not making an ad or receiving anything for what I stated. I just wanted to share something that might help somebody.)
