Marlow,

I was implanted 5 months to the day after my RALP.

Even before my RALP the pills were hit and miss. I knew that a prostatectomy could only worsen my condition, not improve it. My surgeon was terrific and fortunately he was able to spare all nerves. But I never believed I would be one of the few who would get back to square one, even if it took 18 months.

I had been on Frank Talk since before my diagnosis, and the recurring theme that struck me was that for many implantees their biggest regret was that they waited too long to have the implant. Wasted time, with sex being unsatisfactory for both of us (wife) and watching my dick continue to shrink made the decision not easy, but inevitable. I had a complete turtle head after the prostatectomy, and on stretch I had lost almost 2” from an already relatively small dick. Did vacuum, daily Cialis, BiMix, Trimix - nothing worked. A show and tell by a local guy who had his implant about six months prior sealed the deal, and I called Dr. Kramer.

After daily cycling 1x to 2x daily for about a year and a half I have regained all but about 1/4” of what was lost. My girth is not as great, unless my spongiosum gets fully engorged, which often doesn’t happen. Maybe I’m wrong, but I attribute that to the prostatectomy, not to the implant.

But, hey, I now have a dick that works and can make love to my my wife without the worry of whether or not my dick is going to work at all, let alone last for any length of time. That has changed out lovemaking in wonderful ways, and that has changed my mental and emotional state immensely. (And an added benefit - My dick is now about 4” long when uninflated, rather than being in hiding. Have to say, I love that)

Did everything possible to recover normal erectile function, Cialis, Viagra, VED, TRIMIX, BIMIX, all array of OTC supplements and nothing worked to be able to have penetrative sex. TRIMIX worked and was giving me 60-70% of pre RP erections but it was so painful that I couldn’t perform longer then 7-10 minutes. BIMIX was not painful but had no effect even at 0.5 ml or 50 units.
My RP was with bilateral nerve sparing but I had also limph nodes removed.
As the matter of fact, I did not experienced any sign of life in my penis for 22 months. After no success and no sign of life, at 20 months, I decided to get an implant which was done 9/5/18 at 22 months post prostate removal.

Sounds like my story. Tried it all including quadmix. By the time of my surgery it will be close to 25 months.

I was implanted three years after my robotic prostatectomy. It was not a conscious decision to wait, but rather a total lack of awareness about implants. Once I changed doctors and learned about them, I jumped at the opportunity.

I did not do any pre surgery vacuum pumping to overcome my dramatic post-Prostatectonmy size loss. Now I smell two years post I plant surgery and just slightly larger than my lifelong size prior to losing length from age, ED, and surgery.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

i'm really hoping for a good outcome like yours. Ive been pumping every since my doctor told be i could. I waited a month after surgery to start but i have been pumping religeiosly daily for almost 2 years after my surgery. I know I'm not gonna get my my pre prostate surgery size back but i want to keep what i have now.

Don't assume that will be the case. I got my pre prostate surgery size back, and so did many other men here at FT. Getting an implant does not automatically mean that you will lose size.

I waited 2.5 years. It was a mistake. Don't wait! Do it sooner! CHOOSE YOUR SURGEON VERY VERY CAREFULLY.....
