Hello bionic brothers,
I've been lurking on this forum for the past few months and this is my first post. I am in my early 30s from South Asia and I am suffering from ED for the past 5 years. I visited a local urologist who tried both injections and pills but they didn't work. Let me explain, I get an erection with great difficulty and when I do get it, it falls down within 1-2 secs if I stop stimulating my dick. However, if I keep stimulating it, I immediately come in a few seconds. It wasn't always like this. In my young days - teenage and early 20s - I would get an erection easily with little stimulation and it would remain sustained for a long time, also I didn't use to come so quickly. For the past 5 years since I got ED, my libido has fallen too.
I've two questions:
1. Has any of you noticed fall in libido when you had ED and did the libido come back after the implant once you felt you had a working dick again?
2. Considering that money is not an issue (I will manage), should I get an implant locally or should I fly halfway around the world to get it done by Dr. Kramer?
I have not yet asked basic questions from a local urologist who does implants, like how many he does per year, how deep does the implant go inside the glans, is there a chance my dick will reduce in length, does he do measurements, etc. Perhaps I should ask him or maybe just skip everything and go all the way to Dr. Kramer? I am saying Dr. Kramer because he seems cheaper than Dr. Eid. Could possibly get a discount if I talk to him.

Young man in 30s from Asia - 2 questions
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

I think Dr. Karpman in northern California is a little cheaper than those two. Flying into the west coast might offset any savings on the cash price.
You don't say what country that you are living in. Is there a chance that there is a group from your country living in the USA that you could stay with? That might give you some comfort & reduce your housing cost a little.
Just guessing from your screen name. Could you live in India? If so, there seems to be a decent number of immigrants living near silicon valley. That is very near to Dr. Karpman's practice.
I'm just making a few suggestions that might help your decisions. Feel free to read & don't be afraid to ask questions. Use the search function to find revelant posts to your questions. Look Krammer, Eid & a few other names mentioned here up on YouTube. I know Krammer posts a couple of videos every week.

Thanks! I heard that Dr Eid costs the highest but he gives gurantees that if implant fails in 10 years, then revison costs $8K only. Is this true? If yes, is this total cost of hospital+device+operation? Do other doctors give these gurantees also? Is replacement cheaper when you visit these other docs or does it cost same as original surgery?

Keep in mind that Dr. Eid is about 65 years old, if he gives a guaranty for 10 years, will he still be doing penile implants 10 years from now. Just keep that in mind.

It is my understanding that the implant costs about $8k in USD. What he is giving you is a guarantee on his fee only. Btw, that does sound like a pretty good deal. But, it is my understanding that the implants come with their own guarantee against failure. So Dr. Eid might would only be at risk only if the implant did not fail. Honestly, I don't know all of the details. Perhaps a member that has had a revision that wasn't a true implant failure could explain their experience.
You're asking a good question. All I can point to is that Dr. Kramer has several YouTube video's where he says that he is doing a revision. But he doesn't talk about the cost. If you subtract the $8k for the implant from a revision then it still costs a good amount but still a little over 1/2 the cost of the first surgery.
Try using the words revision & cost in the search function. Perhaps that will find a post that gives you better details. Good luck.

Thanks everyone! Those links were very insightful. I thought this forum was mostly being used by people from US and Europe, so it’s good to see Asians here too.
About the age of Dr.Eid, I didn’t know that. He seems to be nearing retirement age. One of the links shares an experience of someone from Vietnam who had to fly all the way to US for surgery and mentioned that the flight back was uncomfortable. When his implant failed after 2 years and he wanted to get replacement flying again was not something he was ready to do. I feel the same way, plus visa issues, and other problems will make the whole thing harder for me.
I’ve just one question, there’s a top notch urologist in my country who does implants (and he’s also a professor) and was recommended by other top urologists too that I should go to him. However, I never asked him how many implants he does but I plan to do that next month. How many implants should be a good figure? Any ideas?
I am asking because I want to make sure he is doing enough implants per year so that I feel confident getting operation done by him. If the number of implants he has done is less, then I will look for alternatives abroad.

Not sure where you are from but a cousin of mine had it done in Delhi's Blue Ribbon Urology centre by Dr Ashish Sabharwal.
This 'Doctor' is a butcher and messed the whole procedure up. According to my cousin the place was extremly filthy and he got a life threatening infection and was hospitalised in the U.K under intensive care for six weeks.
Apparently the video's that he shows on youtube and his website is all fake - the clinic, bed and equipment used by him is from 1930's and not what he shows online.

Re: Young man in 30s from Asia - 2 questions
I am from Lahore, Pakistan and the local urologist I am considering is Dr Khaleeq Ur Rehman. Two other Urologists from Islamabad and Karachi have told me that Dr Khaleeq in Lahore is the best implant specialist in the country and referred me to him. The hospital where he works is state of the art. However, I have yet to decide if I should get implanted by him or go abroad to Dr Kramer. Kramer is expensive and far away, visa issues, long travel time, staying, etc are all things I will have to consider. Another thing that worries me is what if some problem comes, and I don’t get the visa or don’t have resources, etc in future?
I will be meeting Dr Khaleeq again in a month or so and I will ask him question about how many implants he has done. How many should be a good figure? What other questions should I ask him to figure out if he is a good option?

When I was researching surgeons I was told more than 500-700 surgeries is what I should be looking for. Part of why I selected Kramer (i didn't know about his reputation or this site at the time) was because he was not tied to one brand of implant or one way of doing the procedure. This gave me the impression that he makes adjustments based on the patient and has the knowledge to adjust as well. Each patient is slightly different. Kramer had some issues placing the reservoir in me because of two previous hernia surgeries. He adjusted.
I will say that the first two weeks you are fairly uncomfortable so you want to at least fly business. You're going to want to be horizontal.
I have a Titan and my paperwork says they guarantee the device for life. I think the discount might not be the doctors fees but the cost of a new implant. Unless a doc has his own surgi-center (and I'd be wary of that) in the US it's very difficult for the doc to wave fees. Even if can wave his own that's not the biggest chunk. Facility fees and anesthesia cost as much if not more.
