Peyonies and Implant question

Postby Biker60 » Sun Sep 08, 2019 9:18 am

Hello all

I have always had some form of ed, that cialis worked for the most part. However, its been a year since I developed PD, when erect, now 2 inches shorter, my bend is 90+ I of course can't penetrate anything in this situation. I can pee straight up however. I have failed xialflex, verapamil etc. I am scheduled for Implant next month if insurance cooperates. My question is if anyone who has PD and received implants, does the plaque pain decrease? My understanding is when the copra are dilated the plaque is broken. But since I have plaque in the base and dorsal areas, does the inflation of the implant still cause pain? I know the bend will be gone, but the plaque remains? I assume the inflation will break the plaque over time. Men with PD talk a lot about the curve or bend, but it comes with pain as well. I can see my insurance saying no to implants, but they paid almost $40,000 for xiaflex. Which IMHO, made my PD worst. i appreciate anyones input.

Thanks

Mike

I have peyronies also 60 degree upward curve. I was diagnosed about 8 months ago and read a lot about xiaflex but 40k for maybe a 10% improvement is not good for me. I have an appointment with Dr Eid next Monday to discuss I'mplant. The only advice that I can give u is buy u a traction device so u don't lose any length

I had Peyronies prior to my Implant surgery, but my surgeon said I was lucky it was not severe. There was a definite upward curve, though. My surgeon told my following surgery that he scraped away the plaque so I assume it was a procedure similar to this video I just found.

Following my implant surgery my penis still had a slight upward curve after surgery, but it gradually went away. I am going to attach a pre-surgery photo, one 6 months post op and another after about one year when my shaft had healed and straightened out. The first photo is the most recent.

I never felt pain from the he Peyronies so I can’t address that part of your question.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

My peyronies was at least as bad as the pictures in the last post. I also had an hourglass dent about mid shaft and plaque about size of my thumbnail on top of my shaft about inch from my stomache.

6 months since titan. Now straight, no dent, and have no idea where plaque is but cannot feel it anymore. No idea where it went.

About 6.5 inches pumped up after regular cycling. No pain from pumping any more either.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

Where else but FT can one guy tell another guy, "Nice dick!" without looking weird and/or having hidden agendas. :)

It's refreshing, isn't it? Women openly compliment each other about their bodies, but men think it will somehow make them less of a man if they look at or talk about another man's dick. I appreciate your ability to go there.

Thank you for the replies. I have done all devices and drugs and 8 shots of Xialfex. I was about 6in before PD. The urologist I am seeing said xiaflex did not work well for me. But the good side is I didn't have to pay the 40K for the injections. Insurance covered it. Well, this is what $40k and lots of pain gets you. He said surgery was next option, but he does not do that. I am scheduled for an IPP next month with a surgeon that does. If insurance agrees. I PD got worst after Xiaflex. Erections, with this bend are painful. Erect or flaccid [
