Loss of saline solution

Postby charlygoico » Fri Sep 20, 2019 5:32 am

Hello friends, apparently a loss of the saline solution occurred, since when I want to inflate the pump it does not inflate again after pumping. Did someone happen to you? Can you add liquid or do you have to replace the implant? Greetings to all

Well, if the saline was lost, you must have a leak.
Thus reimplantation seems the consequence.

But contact your doctor!

Do you have an AMS or Coloplast implant?
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

It could be a valve stuck. Does the bulb stay flat, does it refill,or is it hard and you can't depress it?

The Coloplast Patient Liaison should be able to talk you through cycling (and unsticking) a stuck valve. If a leak, help diagnose that.

The pump is flat and does not fill again, if I press the valve, it returns to its normal form. But it does not inflate the tubes.

Mine did the same thing before my revision in March. There was a leak in the valve body.

The MS valve done that on my first revision, but the surgeon would not admit that it was a bad valve or a leak. He just said they had changed the MS pump and reservoir, not the cylinders. So I guess they done a partial, and might do the same for you if it has been less then five years with the implant. The recovery is much faster for me anyways.

I am almost positive that it is a stuck or defective pump valve being a retired mechanical engineer that is why I make such a statement, but the surgeon would not admit it.

Is it likely that they only replace what is damaged? Given that the prosthesis is only 18 months old?
