I am reposting my prior information because it is very important for Veterans and can save them a ton of money. Even if you are on Medicare you can still get medications through Tricare.
If you are a veteran that can use express scripts/tricare to get your medications and need ED medications (Bi-MIx, Tri-Mix, Quad-Mix or whatever) you can probably get them for next to FREE. If you want more information on how to go about this check out some of my posts under "Injections". It takes a little bit of effort on your part but you can doe it. As an example, I was paying $80 for a 5ml vial of Tri-Mix at a local pharmacy. By going through a new compounding pharmacy (they must be a Tricare in network pharmacy) I got 10ml of Tri-Mix for $38. $28 for the Tri-Mix and $10 for overnight shipping. $38 sure beats the hell out of $80 and I get twice the amount of medication.
If I can be of help or provide more information please PM me.

Important Information for Veterans
Phil, 75, married 54 years, ED started about 9 years ago. After viagra and cialis and pumping have found Trimix. Use 10 units injected with a partial erection. 31g-5/16" or 31g 1/2"needle. 10-1-30 Wife likes it too
Re: Important Information for Veterans
Wonder if this is the same with va
edex and tri mix 45/1/27 26 units
Re: Important Information for Veterans
I'm thinking VA and Tri-Care are two very different programs. With Tri-Care, we have a Premium payment, I believe with the VA, there is no Premium payment. Can VA patients use Express Scripts? I don't know.
63 Years old, married 41 years, no medical issues, (except ED), retired U.S. Army, 22 years, keep busy working P.T. for several funeral homes.

With V.A. there is a co-pay.
Incidentally, the V.A. paid for my oral E.D. medications and ultimately covered my implant. I am service-connected disabled, so check with your primary care V.A. physician and get him or her on board with any treatments.

Re: Important Information for Veterans
Guys, maybe I posted the information about getting ED medications (in my case, Tri-Mix) unnecessairly, but I thought if I can help just one veteran who can use express scripts/tricare to get his medications and not have to pay 100% out of pocket, I have accomplished my goal. I payed for two bottles of mix ($160.00) before finding out I could get it through any compounding pharmacy using express scripts/tricare. For those who can't use express scripts/tricare the VA is probably the only other option. I have used the VA for my hearing aids and glasses. I use a nearby military pharmacy for all mine and my wife's medications except my mix. I have not complaints about paying $38.00 for 10ml which, at my current dose (15units) will last me almost a year.
The VA and express scripts/tricare are two differenct providers. I don't know if the VA provides penile injection medications or not. If not, then a veteran should be able to obtain them through the other route. Also, when you go to the Tricare sight and look up Tri-Mix they list only one compounded mix. In fact, as long as you can find a compounding pharmacy that is part of their network you can get any mix as long as the pharmacy can mix it. I found this out when I switched pharmacies. The new pharmacy did not mix my original compound but did make one very close and my Uro approved the new mix.
Hope this helps.

Re: Important Information for Veterans
Robert51, Thanks for posting that information. It just might be of help to someone. I don't think any veteran should have to pay such high co-pays as a lot of vets do. In fact, I don't think vets should have to pay one red cent for any medications. I will just leave it at that and won't stir up a hornets nest.

Re: Important Information for Veterans
When I joined the army in 1956, many promises were made about lifelong healthcare for me and a future spouse.
None of them were ever received and obviously I didn't get anything on paper.
I'm fortunate to be able to take care of it myself.
When I was unemployed at 59 years of age I went to VA. At the time treatment for ED was use VED and if that didn't work they would prescribe pills. I didn't bother with it.
I needed BP and cholesterol pills but VA co-pay was more than a 90 day supply at WM.

Re: Important Information for Veterans
Thomas1---Thank you for your response and information. Yes, our government is slowly but surely chipping away the benefits all veterans were promised if they would only give them a huge chunk of their lives. The way I see it, the VA is controlling our sex lives with only 4 injections per month. Hell, some of us and our partners might like having sex 7 days a week, albet, it would probably kill me at this point. I thank the good Lord I found out how to get my Tri-Mix at the price I am now paying. At my current dose I can get over 60 syringe loads out of 10ml
