I think you can see from the answers that everyone varies when it comes to who they share this with. In my case it was just my wife and my surgeon suggested I could use the cover story that I had hernia repair surgery with everyone else.

I typically am at the gym 5 days a week and work out with my best friend. I had to take time off from the gym during recovery. As I was healing it occurred to me my dick was a lot larger and hernia surgery doesn’t cause a penis to grow so I decided to tell him the truth. We had a great conversation and he opened up he has ED and appreciated knowing about this option.

Soon after I was recovered I had a dental appointment. My dentist and I had Prostate Cancer at the same time and unfortunately his nerves were cut so he no longer got erections. I told him about my surgery and ended up doing a show and tell for him and his wife.

That is it for my family and friends that know currently. I won’t hesitate to talk about it when I hear of a friend in need who is having ED issues but otherwise what point does it serve?

I’ve told literally hundreds of couples at seminars where I speak with urologists to people seeking solutions for ED. My adult kids and their spouses know as well. I’m a committed believer in making this option known far and wide.

Doctor and Wife are the only ones that know, everyone else got the Hernia excuse...btw day 18 of recovery and my dick still hurts and 30% of the time my right nut feels like it's being pinched but getting better everyday.

I would not use the "hernia excuse". Just say "having some repairs to my undercarriage (private parts)" and question the questioner about any further interest. Their answers should tell you whether or not you want to share your private information.

If one uses an untruth of any kind, backtracking the lie can be problematic,

We are expecting our first grandchild next month and I did not want to do anything that would cause problems with that special time in our life. We talked extensively about my three pages of questions and he complimented me on my thoroughness and amount of research. He complimented me and said I think we have a new record for questions and quality of questions. He answered everyone to my satisfaction. I was thrilled to know he has hundreds of these with No infections thus far! I feel very good in his hands. Just wanted to thank you again for your help. As you stated SEX is very important to me alway# has been. My surgeon didn’t really see any potential problem or surprise me with anything out of blue which I’m glad. His preference was use AMS 700 because of coating antibiotic . His infections thus far ar3 none which surprised me! Felt really good about using him. He did not hurry me through @nd was happy to refer patients to me whom willing to talk. Great thus far!
