Storage in plastic syringes

Postby flyingduck2019 » Fri Oct 18, 2019 9:42 am

Hey guys, I would like some inputs to this question as to your experiences.

When I got my new "mix" on Tuesday I got a call from the pharmacist. She went over the usual do's and don'ts with me. She made a point of telling me that I should not store my mix in a plastic syringe for more than 24 hours because the plastic causes the mix to break down and become less potent. I usually keep several loaded and in the freezer. I also keep about 3 to 5 loaded in the fridge. Now, I have only been using Tri-Mix for about two months but so far, I have not noticed any loss of potency using the syringes out of the fridge.

I did go online and found where some of the syringe manufacturer's say you should not use the syringes as "storage" devices.

Would appreciate any inputs or suggestions.

I'm surprised that I am not seeing any comments or your experiences in this subject :!: I have read posts from some of you saying you have stored injections in syringes frozen. I recall one that said they filled a bunch of them and kept them in the freezer. It sounded like the person emptied a 5ml bottle into syringes and kept them in the freezer. Has anyone had any failures or loss of potency by keeping the mix in the syringes and frozen?

I posted in another thread with a similar query...I store mine preloaded all the time. I just took a half dozen preloaded on a vacation to NYC, unrefrigerated, and there was zero perceptible loss in potency.

I ask this same question very early on using trimix. Every person I ask said do not do this! I also have experienced problems with quality syringes. I wouldn’t recommend it either. The meds to expensive to waste anD doesn’t take that much time to draw up.

So I have two inputs, one from Dgold21 who says he has stored his Trimix frozen in as many as 6 syringes at a time and even took them on a trip to another state with no recognized loss of strength. Notaes says this practice is not a good idea, which falls on the manufacture of the syringes side of the fence. He is also right in saying it doesn't take that long to load a dose in a syringe.

I myself prefer to keep about 3 or 4 loaded in the fridge ready for action. It's bad enough when you have our problem and you want to be as spontaneious as possible, especially if your partner gives you the bedroom eye in the middle of morning or afternoon. That 8 to 12 minutes it takes for the stuff to give you what you want seems like forever sometimes.

I've been storing Trimix in syringes for probably 7 years since I started injecting....I never noticed a loss of potency...maybe I'll try a little experiment and not store them when I get my next batch..

I buy BD syringes, never had a problem. I've never frozen a preloaded syringe, only the vial. I thaw the vial and draw up what I figure I'll need for the week, sometimes they stay in the fridge, sometimes not. Again, never a single problem with loss of efficacy. I realize it's "not recommended" by the experts, just telling you my experience.

OK guys, I think the general consensus is that you can store the mix several different ways without a decrease in the potency. I personally would not store my mix in and syringe and not freeze it or not keep it in the fridge. I have not taken any trips since starting injections so I can't speak to that option except to say that if I did take a trip I would at least try to keep the loaded syringes in a fridge or ice chest.

Night before last I used one of the loaded syringes that had been in the freezer for two weeks and no noticeable loss of potency. Took the same 5-8 minutes to get a good firm erection that lasted through intercourse and about an additional 1 1/2 hour.

I think FlyingDuck was referring to me as the guy who said:

"I recall one that said they filled a bunch of them and kept them in the freezer. It sounded like the person emptied a 5ml bottle into syringes and kept them in the freezer."

Well, that's what I do. Today, though, I had an interesting experience. As I thawed a syringe because "the time was right".... I noticed some floating debris in the thawed Trimix. What's up with that? Furthermore, I had a helluva time getting the plunger on the syringe to move, while the needle is stuck in my dick. Pulled that one out and started over with a new syringe. My wife waited patiently, and we had some pretty awesome sex.

Long story short, will see what happens with the 25+ frozen doses in my fridge -- and report back to everyone. Let's keep sharing and helping each other.

My pharmacy said to refrigerate only and that's what I've done all along. everything is good. But I don't load my syringes either. I think I read in forum if your mixing your own they've had particles and or cloudy not to use, possibly bad.
